Alright, so you wanna know about that golf thing, the RBC Heritage, right? Lemme tell ya, it’s a bit different this year, not like those other golf games you see on TV.
No Cut at the RBC Heritage, That’s What They Say
Yeah, you heard that right. No cut! Usually, them fellas gotta play good for two days, or they get sent packin’. But this Heritage thing, it’s special. They call it a “Signature Event,” which I guess means it’s a big deal. Only a few of these fancy golf games are like this.
So, all them 69 golfers, they get to play all four days. Yep, every single one of ’em. No matter if they’re hittin’ the ball all over the place or playin’ like a champ, they get to keep on playin’. I reckon that’s good for them, gives ‘em a chance to maybe do better the next day.
Harbour Town, That’s Where They Are
They’re playin’ down in South Carolina, on some island called Hilton Head. The golf course is called Harbour Town, been there since, what, 1967? And they’ve been havin’ these golf games there since 1969. It’s a purdy place, I hear, all green and fancy-like.
Only the Best Golfers, I Guess
They say only the top golfers get to play in this thing. Like, the best 30 guys, they’re supposed to be there. One fella, Viktor Hovland, he ain’t playin’ this year, but most of the big names, they’re there. Sixty-nine of ‘em, that’s what they said. Seems like a lot of fellas to me, but what do I know?
Big Money and Points, That’s What They’re Playin’ For
- They’re playin’ for big money, that’s for sure. Lots of it.
- And they get these points, FedExCup points they call ‘em. I guess them points help ‘em get into other golf games, I don’t rightly know.
It’s Different This Year, Remember That
Now, don’t go gettin’ this mixed up with other golf games. Usually, there’s a cut, and lots more golfers playin’. Like, more than a hundred of ‘em sometimes. And then they cut it down to the top 65 or so after two days. But this Heritage, it ain’t like that. It’s special, remember? No cut this year.
Some Folks Say It Used to Be Different
I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout how in the old days, there used to be a cut at the Heritage. Yeah, like, they’d start with over 140 golfers, and then after two days, only about 73 would be left. But that’s not how it is now. Things change, I guess.
So, To Be Clear…
No, there ain’t no cut at the RBC Heritage this year. All them golfers get to play all four rounds. It’s a special thing, they say, one of them Signature Events. Sixty-nine golfers, big money, and no cut. That’s the long and short of it, as far as I can tell.
So there you have it, all about that RBC Heritage golf thing. Hope that makes some sense to ya. It ain’t rocket science, just a bunch of fellas hittin’ a little white ball around a big green field, but this year, they all get to keep hittin’ it, no matter what. Makes ya wonder if they like that better or not, huh?
