Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this idea of, like, figuring out what the future holds for kids. Not in a crystal ball kind of way, but more like, what factors play into how a kid turns out, you know?
So I started digging into this. I mean, we all want the best for our kids, right? I started reading up on all sorts of things like how their natural talents, their home life, school, and all the experiences they have come together. I’m thinking, “This is complex stuff!”
Then, I stumbled upon this quote from Abraham Lincoln. It said, “The best way to predict the future is to create it.” That really hit me. It’s like, we’re not just passive observers here. We actually get to shape what happens to our kids, to some extent, at least.
Then, I got a little sidetracked, I guess you could say. I started reading about birth charts and how the fifth house is about kids. It said stuff like, if you have Jupiter or Venus there, you’re golden, but planets like Mars or the Sun mean trouble. I don’t know about all that, but it was interesting.
And then, of course, I had to check out Nostradamus. I mean, who hasn’t heard of him, right? This guy was predicting stuff way back in the 1500s. I skimmed through some of his “Les Propheties” book, but honestly, it was a bit over my head.
But back to the kids. So, I started thinking about how important it is to be, like, super intentional about planning for their future. I’m reading about how we need to boost their self-confidence, their emotional smarts, and help them make good choices.
I even found this article about raising boys. It was all about teaching them life lessons to turn them into good guys and outstanding citizens. I don’t have a son, but I found it useful.
I also started thinking about the future. Like, what will life be like for kids in, say, 2040? I read this article that said a kid today might have a virtual friend who’s also their mentor. It’s wild to think about, right?
And then, you know, I started getting a bit emotional. I was reading about this parent whose kid was turning 21. It made them think about how time flies. Since my youngest is also approaching that age, it made me a bit emotional to think about that.
And then, for some reason, I went down the rabbit hole of trying to predict how tall a kid will be. I found these five methods that are supposed to give you an estimate. They seemed kind of fun to try, but I’m not sure how accurate they are.
So, yeah, that’s what I’ve been up to. It’s been a bit of a wild ride, going from serious stuff about raising kids to, like, astrology and predicting height. But it’s all been pretty interesting, I guess. I’m still thinking about all this stuff and how it all fits together. It’s definitely given me a lot to chew on.
