Okay, so I’ve been getting a lot of questions about how I get my hair to look like Roman Reigns’. It’s a bit of a process, but it’s not as complicated as you might think. I figured I’d just walk you guys through what I do, step-by-step. It all started when I first saw this dude on TV, Roman Reigns. That guy is just a monster of a wrestler, and his hair, man, it’s just iconic.
First things first, I started with growing out my hair. This took some serious time, I ain’t gonna lie. I went through that awkward phase where it was too long to be short, but not long enough to really do anything with. But I pushed through, got some regular trims to keep it healthy, and eventually, it was long enough.
Then, I started messing around with different products. I tried all sorts of stuff, gels, pomades, you name it. Most of them just made my hair look stiff and unnatural. I was aiming for that slick, wet look that Roman Reigns rocks, not some crunchy, helmet-head type of deal.
The Washing
Next, I really had to figure out a good washing routine. Washing it too often dried it out, but not washing it enough made it greasy. It was a real balancing act. I found that washing it every other day, sometimes even every two days, worked best for my hair. I use a decent conditioner, too. Makes a huge difference, believe me.
The Wet Look
Here’s where things get interesting. To get that wet look, I don’t dry my hair completely after washing it. I towel dry it a bit, just to get the excess water out, but I leave it pretty damp. While it’s still damp, I grab some oil. Yep, regular old hair oil. Not too much, just a little bit. Then I run that through my hair, making sure to get it evenly distributed.
- Step 1: Wash hair. Not too often, though.
- Step 2: Towel dry, leaving it damp.
- Step 3: Apply a small amount of hair oil.
- Step 4: Comb it back.
The final step? I just comb it back, straight back from my forehead. Sometimes I’ll adjust it a bit with my fingers, but that’s pretty much it. I let it air dry like that, and it usually sets pretty well. Sometimes, if I need extra hold, I might add a tiny bit of hairspray, but I try to avoid it if I can. It takes some time to get the hang of it. I tried a bunch of different oils until I found one that worked just right. You just gotta experiment and see what works for your own hair.
It is not really that hard, guys. Just take care of your hair, find the right products, and you can totally get that Roman Reigns look too. Give it a try and let me know how it goes!
