Man, you wouldn’t believe the day I had. So, I’ve been obsessed with Rory McIlroy lately, right? Not in a weird way, but like, I really admire the guy’s golf game and his lifestyle. It’s insane! Anyway, I got this crazy idea in my head: I wanted to see if I could track his private jet. I know, sounds nuts, but hear me out.
First thing I did was I hit up Google. I mean, where else do you go for info these days? I typed in something like “Rory McIlroy private jet” and boom! Tons of articles popped up. Apparently, the dude owns a Bombardier Challenger 605. Fancy, right? I dug a bit deeper and found out that it’s not exactly breaking news. He’s had it for a while.
But then, I stumbled upon this account on X called RadarAtlas2. These guys are like, flight-tracking wizards or something. And guess what? They confirmed in October that Rory got a new jet! The tail number is #N650MN. I was like, “No way! This is getting interesting.”
Tracking the Jet
So, armed with this new info, I started looking into how to actually track this thing. I found a bunch of websites that let you track flights, but most of them needed you to pay, or were just a mess to figure out. I’m not about to drop cash on this, and I’m certainly not a tech genius.
Finally, I found a site that was somewhat user-friendly, and the tail number of the plane that I got from RadarAtlas2 was correct. I started punching in #N650MN and crossing my fingers.
Success!
And you know what? It worked! I could see the jet’s recent flights. It was wild! I felt like a real-life spy or something. I mean, I wasn’t getting any super-secret info, just where the plane had been. But still, it was cool to see where Rory had been jetting off to. I also can see the plane’s picture, it is so cool!
- I started by Googling about Rory McIlroy’s jet.
- Found out he owns a Bombardier Challenger 605.
- Discovered RadarAtlas2 on X confirmed he got a new jet, #N650MN.
- Searched for flight-tracking websites.
- Finally found a site I could use for free.
- Successfully tracked the jet’s recent flights using the tail number.
I spent the rest of the afternoon just checking out the flight history. It was a total rabbit hole, but a fun one. I mean, who knew tracking a celebrity’s private jet could be so entertaining? I guess it’s the little things in life, right?
Anyway, that was my adventure for the day. Maybe not the most productive, but definitely a memorable one. I might have to make this a regular hobby. Who knows who else’s private jet I could track? The possibilities are endless! And, I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s curious about this kind of stuff.
