Man, today was a whirlwind trying to keep up with the Yankees. I’ve been trying to get more into baseball, and I figured following the Yankees would be a good start, even though I’m not really from New York. I heard about this thing called SportSpyder and thought, “Why not?” Maybe it will help me get on top of things.
So, I started digging around to see what SportSpyder had on the Yankees. First thing I noticed was some chatter about them possibly trying to trade for Nico Hoerner from the Cubs. I read a few articles about it, and apparently, it is just a rumor now. I think it is just a hope from Yankees.
- It seems like a long shot, but I guess stranger things have happened in baseball.
Then, I stumbled upon this highlight reel of the Yankees’ biggest moments of 2021. I watched the whole thing, and man, they had some crazy games! I remember seeing one clip, it was such a nail-biter. The Yankees won that one. Also, I found some good news from the video. It was about the best moments of the Yankees in 2021. So excited to watch them.
After that, I figured I should probably get familiar with their schedule. I found a post listing some important dates.
Here’s what I jotted down:
- Pitchers and catchers report on February 11th.
- Their first workout is the next day, February 12th.
- Position players show up on February 16th.
- And the first full-squad workout is on the 17th.
I was trying to find more, but I guess that’s all SportSpyder had for today. I guess I need to use something else too if I really want to stay on top of things with the Yankees. I am just a new fan, so I believe it will take some time for me to get into it. But it was a good start.
At last, I heard Michael Kay saying the Yankees are the AL. I don’t know what does AL mean, but I think I heard it somewhere else before. Overall, it was a pretty productive day of learning about the Yankees. I’m definitely going to keep following them and see where this season takes them.
Hope you enjoyed reading my blog. See you guys next time.
