Okay, so, yesterday I started messing around with this thing called the Silva Method, or more specifically, the “silva simon” thing. I heard about it from some self-improvement gurus online, you know, the usual “unlock your potential” type stuff. I’m always a bit skeptical, but hey, I’m also curious, so I decided to give it a shot.
First, I tried to find some info. I ended up on YouTube, watching some compilation video, like four hours long. It had bits and pieces of different Silva seminars. Honestly, it was a lot to take in, kind of overwhelming. After that, I stumbled onto this other website called Mindvalley. I guess they’re promoting the Silva Method now, not sure how I feel about that, to be honest.
What I Did
- Watched a long YouTube video.
- Found the Mindvalley website promoting it.
- Looked up “SILVA rRNA database project” – this was a bit of a detour, not really related, but I got curious.
- Saw something about a book called “Bruder Schweigen” by some guy named Frank DeSilva – again, not directly related, but it popped up.
- Then I remembered there’s something called “Silva Intelligent Light” – it’s a double light beam in headlamps. Totally different thing, but my brain made the connection.
So, after all that, I tried to actually do the exercises. It’s basically visualization and relaxation, right? You close your eyes, take deep breaths, and imagine yourself in this “ideal scene” or whatever. I spent maybe half an hour doing this, trying to focus, but my mind kept wandering. I thought about that rRNA database thing, that book, those headlamps – yeah, not very productive.
I did this a couple more times throughout the day, but it was tough. I mean, I’m not used to this kind of thing. But I kept at it because I’m stubborn. I think I’m starting to get the hang of it, but it’s definitely not easy. I think I need more practice, maybe a quieter environment, and probably less caffeine. At the very least, this has been a really interesting experience, so I’ll continue to learn and see what it’s all about.
