Okay, let’s talk about this thing called the Tigerhood. I wanted to get one, so I went ahead and found where to get it. I looked around for the best prices and when I could get it. They said it would ship in one to three days, which is pretty quick.
When I got it, the first thing I noticed was that it’s made to cover your throat more than usual, which is great ’cause it blocks those nasty fumes. I picked one with a Shade 10 lens, and let me tell you, it’s crystal clear. Makes welding a lot easier when you can actually see what you’re doing, right?
Why I Got This Particular Helmet?
- Well, it’s called the Tigerhood Classic Helmet, and it’s supposed to help you work better.
- The one I got is gray. I saw there’s a version for hard hats too, but I didn’t need that.
This helmet, it’s made from this stuff called “fiber metal,” and it’s got this ratchet thingy that makes it fit just right. It’s also designed to bounce off sparks, which is pretty cool. I found out that the brand is called “Fibre-Metal,” so that’s something to remember if you’re looking for one of these.
Is it Cost Effective?
I heard some folks say that this Tigerhood thing is popular because it’s cheap. I mean, it’s not super expensive, but it’s not dirt cheap either. It depends on where you buy it and what features it has. If you want something basic, it won’t break the bank. But if you want all the bells and whistles, it’ll cost you more.
So, after using it for a while, I can say it’s pretty darn good. It’s comfortable, I can see clearly, and it feels like it’s gonna last a while. And it’s got more leather on top than some of those other chopped-up hoods, so that’s a plus. If you’re welding, you might wanna check out this Tigerhood thing. It’s worked out pretty well for me.
