Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with something I hadn’t tried in a while – crossword puzzles. I searched online and found a title that looked interesting: “Splashes Crossword”. It sounded kinda fun, so I decided to give it a shot.
First, I got my hands on the puzzle itself. It was a standard crossword grid, you know, with the black and white squares. The clues were listed below, all related to the “Splashes” theme. Some seemed pretty easy, like “water from the sky” or something. Others, I wasn’t so sure about.
I grabbed a pencil – gotta be able to erase, right? – and started with the easy ones. I filled in “rain” for that “water from the sky” clue. Felt pretty good knocking that one out! Then I looked for clues that connected to the letters I’d already filled in. That’s kind of the trick with crosswords, using the letters you have to help you with the ones you don’t.
There were a few that stumped me. One was like “a loud noise made when jumping into water” and I was drawing a blank. I kept looking at the other clues, hoping something would click.
I went back and forth, filling in a word here, erasing a word there. It was actually kinda relaxing, in a weird way. My brain was working, but it wasn’t like, super stressful work. More like a fun little challenge.
My Process step by step
- Found the “Splashes Crossword” puzzle.
- Read through all the clues to get a feel for it.
- Started with the clues I knew right away and filled them in.
- Used the letters I had to help figure out the harder clues.
- Got stuck on a few, skipped them, and came back later.
- Finally filled in the last word after some trial and error.
After a while, I finally got it! That “loud noise” clue? Turns out it was “splash”. Makes sense, right? It was satisfying to see the whole grid filled in. It wasn’t a super hard puzzle or anything, but it was a nice way to spend some time. Might have to do another one of these soon!
