Then I checked out some basic stats, like runs scored and runs allowed. I figured that would give me a basic sense of their offensive and defensive capabilities.

Next, I tried to find out who the starting pitchers were going to be. Pitching is HUGE in baseball, so this felt super important. It took some digging, but I eventually found some probable starters listed on a sports news site.

I also looked at how each team performed at home versus away. Some teams just play way better in their own stadium, so I wanted to factor that in. I used a website dedicated to checking team statistics.
Looking at Head to Head Record
Another thing I tried was checking for the record the two teams had in the current season, to see if one dominated the other.
Putting It All Together (My Prediction)
After all that, I took a deep breath and made my prediction. It felt like a lot of guesswork, honestly, but based on everything I’d seen, I thought the Yankees had a better shot. Their recent record was stronger, and their offense seemed a bit more potent. The pitching matchup seemed to be more in their favor, too.
So, I went with the Yankees. It wasn’t a super confident prediction, but it was the best I could do with the info I had. It will be very interesting to see If I end up right or wrong on this one.
