Okay, so I’ve been wanting to really get into the MLS, and what better way to do that than to follow a match closely? I picked Columbus Crew versus Orlando City – seemed like a good one. Here’s how I went about it, start to finish.

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to know when the game was. I just did a simple search and got the date and time. I made sure to set a reminder on my phone so I wouldn’t forget. Gotta be prepared, right?
Finding a Way to Watch
Next up, how was I going to watch the match? I don’t have cable, so I needed to find a streaming option. I knew some games were on specific apps, so i made sure i have the relative app on my phone.
During the Match
Game time! I made sure I had some snacks and drinks ready – gotta have the full experience. While watching, I tried to keep track of some key things:
- Key Players: Who seemed to be making the big plays? Who was controlling the midfield? Who looked dangerous on the attack?
- Turning Points: Were there any big moments that shifted the momentum? A red card? A spectacular goal? A crucial save?
- Overall Flow: Was it a back-and-forth game? Was one team dominating possession? Were there lots of fouls, or was it a clean match?
After the Match
Once the final whistle blew, I did a quick search to see any post-match interviews or analysis. And write down all the key information I’ve watched.
It’s all about getting a feel for the teams, the players, and the league.I found it is a intersting game.
