Alright, so I wanted to make a cool Michael Jordan cutout for my kid’s room. He’s a huge fan, and I figured it’d be a fun project. Here’s how I did it.

Gathering Supplies
First, I needed to get all my materials together. I grabbed:
- A big piece of cardboard (I used an old appliance box)
- A projector (borrowed from a friend)
- A printed image of Michael Jordan (found a good one online)
- A pencil
- A utility knife/box cutter (be careful with this!)
- Some paint (red and black, for the Bulls colors, of course)
- Paint brushes
Setting Up the Projector
Next, I had to set things up. I put the cardboard against a wall in a fairly dark room. I set up the projector and put the Jordan image in it. I had to play around with the distance to get the size I wanted. It took a little fiddling to get it just right, so it fit nicely on the cardboard.
Tracing the Image
Once the image was projected, I carefully traced the outline of Michael Jordan onto the cardboard with a pencil. I went slow, trying to get all the * doesn’t need to be 100% perfect because it can be modified when doing the next step.
Cutting It Out
This was the tricky part. I used the utility knife to cut along the pencil lines. Safety first! I put a cutting mat underneath so I wouldn’t damage anything. I took my time, cutting slowly and carefully. It’s better to go slow than mess it up.
Painting the Cutout
After I had the cutout, it was time to paint. I used the red and black paint to make it look like a Bulls jersey. I did a couple of coats to make the colors really * let each coat dry before applying the next coat.
The Final Result
And that’s it! After the paint dried, I had a pretty awesome Michael Jordan cutout. My kid loved it! It was a fun project, and it looks great in his room. Definitely a slam dunk!
