Okay, so figuring out the next WWE big show, what they call Premium Live Events now instead of PPVs, used to be a whole different game back in the day. I remember actually having to check wrestling magazines or wait for the announcement on TV, hoping I didn’t miss it.

Nowadays, things are way easier, but I still have my little routine. It usually starts with me thinking, “Wait, hasn’t it been a while since the last big event?” or maybe I see some chatter online building up.
My Process Now
First thing I usually do is just grab my phone. Seriously, it’s that simple most times.
- I might just type “next wwe event” into a search engine. Usually, the date pops right up.
- Sometimes I open the official WWE app if I have it installed at the time. They always splash the next big event right on the front page.
- I tend to avoid fan sites initially, just because sometimes dates can be speculative until officially confirmed. I like getting it straight from the horse’s mouth, so to speak.
Once I have the date, the next step is crucial: checking the time zone. Living where I do, these shows are often live at ridiculous hours, like the middle of the night. So, I gotta figure out if I’m committing to an all-nighter or if I’ll just wake up early to catch the replay.
Planning the watch party (even if it’s just me):
This part depends on the timing. If it’s live late at night:
- I make sure I have snacks ready. Nothing worse than getting hungry mid-main event.
- Decide if I’m toughing it out live or catching the stream the next morning to avoid spoilers. Lately, sleep usually wins, gotta be honest.
- I used to text friends to coordinate watching, but schedules get complicated. Now it’s often just me enjoying the show quietly.
If it’s at a reasonable hour (rare, but it happens!):
- Might actually message a buddy or two.
- Maybe plan for slightly better food than just chips.
Keeping it Simple
It’s funny how this small routine repeats itself every month or so. Finding the date, checking the time, planning the snacks. It’s become part of being a fan for so long. It’s less about the hassle of finding the info now, and more about that little bit of anticipation building up once you see that date on the calendar. Even after all these years, knowing the next big show is locked in still gives me a bit of a buzz.
