Alright, so today I’m gonna walk you through how I figured out the lineups for that FC Porto vs. Moreirense F.C. match. It wasn’t just sitting around waiting for someone to hand it to me, you know? I had to dig a little.

Found one site that was hinting at potential lineups. It wasn’t confirmed, but they were saying things like “Expect Sérgio Conceição to field…” Alright, now we’re talking! I copied down the players they were predicting for Porto.
Next up, Moreirense. Their lineup was a bit harder to nail down. The Portuguese sites weren’t giving as much away. So, I tried a different angle. I looked at Moreirense’s recent matches. Who played in their last game? Who was missing due to injury or suspension?
That involved going to a site that had past match stats. I found one that listed the starting lineups for all their previous games. I checked their last two or three matches, and I started to see some patterns. Certain players were consistently in the starting eleven.
