Well, ya know, Cody Rhodes, he’s in a bad way right now. Real rough patch for the man, bless him. See, just recently, he got himself all hurt up, and it’s no small thing neither. Folks in the wrestling world call him “The American Nightmare,” and I’ll tell ya, he’s sure livin’ up to that name with these injuries he’s got.
Now lemme tell ya, this injury business ain’t no small bruise or scratch. Word around says Cody done broke two ribs – two ribs, mind ya! And that ain’t somethin’ you just walk off. This all happened durin’ a big ol’ fight with Jacob Fatu over on WWE SmackDown. They was goin’ at it, fists flyin’ and bodies slamming, and next thing ya know, Cody’s layin’ there with busted ribs. Poor fella, probably barely catchin’ his breath after all that.
Ribs Ain’t His First Injury
Oh, but this ain’t the first time Cody’s been all banged up. Naw, he’s had himself a real run of bad luck with injuries. You remember that time, don’t ya? That time he got himself a busted-up pec muscle, right ‘fore that big match at Hell in a Cell. I reckon folks in the crowd were wide-eyed, gaspin’ when he took his coat off and showed them bruises. That chest was all kinds of messed up. Looked like a plowed field, all purples and reds.
Now they say, some folks did wonder if Cody could even fight with a torn-up chest like that. But he went right on with the match, didn’t he? Sure did. Threw himself into it like nothin’ was wrong. Ain’t many got that kind of grit, ya know?
Wrestlin’ Ain’t for the Weak
People like to think wrestlin’s all show, but lemme tell ya, these fellas, they hurtin’ more than you’d ever think. Cody’s body’s been takin’ beatin’ after beatin’, but he still gets up, every time. See, wrestlin’ takes a whole lotta heart. And in Cody’s case, well, he done proved he’s got the heart for it. Ain’t many out there who’d break ribs, tear muscles, and just keep on fightin’ without missin’ a beat.
And ya know, Cody didn’t always have it so tough. He started out in WWE all excited, big dreams and all. But things got sour, with him havin’ to play that Stardust character. Got himself real frustrated, he did. Left WWE back in 2016 ‘cause he didn’t wanna be held back no more. And I don’t blame him one bit. He had dreams, wanted to be taken serious, ya know? So he went out, made a name for himself, and now he’s one of the biggest names out there.
Pharaoh’s Last Walk
Ya mighta seen Cody’s dog, Pharaoh, walkin’ by his side a few times. That dog’s been with him through thick and thin, like a shadow. Cody took Pharaoh out durin’ SummerSlam in Cleveland, Ohio, this past August. And word is, that was Pharaoh’s last walk with him on stage. Kinda bittersweet, huh? He probably just wanted his ol’ pal there one last time, by his side like always. Maybe it’s a sign he’s tryin’ to take things slower, or maybe he just wanted folks to see Pharaoh one last time.
What’s Next for Cody Rhodes?
So now we’re all wonderin’—what’s next for Cody? That man’s tough as old boots, but ribs don’t just heal overnight. Could be we won’t see him jumpin’ around in the ring for a bit while he heals up. But if there’s one thing I know, it’s that Cody don’t stay down for long. He’ll get his rest, maybe take it easy for a spell, but he’ll be back, sure as rain.
Wrestlin’ fans, they’ll be waitin’ for him, cheerin’ for him to come back strong. And if there’s anyone who can handle this rough patch, it’s Cody Rhodes. That man, he’s got fightin’ spirit in him, somethin’ fierce. So let’s hope he takes his time, heals up real good, and when he’s ready, he’ll be back in that ring, stronger than ever.
‘Til then, we just gotta send him our good thoughts and hope he don’t go through no more hurtin’ for a while. ‘Cause if he ain’t the toughest fella in WWE, I don’t know who is.
