Alright, so you wanna know about this fella, Gervonta Davis, and who’s lookin’ after his business, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I heard. They say it’s this Mayweather fella, Floyd Mayweather, you know, the boxer guy? Yeah, his company, Mayweather Promotions, they’re the ones handlin’ things for Gervonta. At least that’s what they used to say.
Now, Gervonta, they call him “Tank,” this young boxer, real strong, punches like a mule kickin’. Folks say he’s won a bunch of belts, been a champion in different weight classes. He’s up there with the best, pound for pound they say. Heard he’s ranked pretty high, number 10 or somethin’. That’s somethin’, ain’t it? Beatin’ up all them other fellas.
But things change, you know? Like the seasons. I heard tell that another fella, Ravone Littlejohn, is managin’ Tank now. And there’s this other guy, Al Haymon, he’s still around, givin’ Tank advice, like an old uncle or somethin’. Haymon’s got this PBC thing, Promotions or somethin’, and they’re the ones puttin’ on Tank’s fights these days.
- So, Mayweather used to be the man in charge.
- Then maybe Littlejohn took over, with Haymon helpin’ out.
- And PBC, that’s who’s settin’ up the fights.
It’s all a bit confusing if you ask me. Too many cooks in the kitchen, that’s what I say. But I guess that’s how things work in that boxin’ world. Lots of fellas wantin’ a piece of the pie.
Heard Tank’s got a fight comin’ up, against some fella named Frank Martin. Supposed to be a big deal. Defendin’ his title, that WBA lightweight thing. Sounds fancy, huh? Hope he wins, that Tank. Seems like a good boy, even though he punches people for a livin’. It’s his job, I guess.
Now, there was some talk about Tank and Mayweather fightin’ each other. Can you believe that? The old boss and the young fella goin’ at it. Sounded like a good ol’ fashioned barn brawl to me. But I don’t know if that’s gonna happen. Too much talk, not enough action, that’s how it usually goes.
And who’s teachin’ Tank how to fight? That’d be Calvin Ford. Been with Tank a long time, showin’ him the ropes, teachin’ him how to punch and duck and all that. Heard they even made a TV show about him, this Calvin fella. Played a character on some HBO show. Fancy that! A TV star teachin’ a boxin’ star.
So, to sum it up, it seems like a whole bunch of people are involved in Gervonta Davis’ career. Mayweather used to be the main guy, then maybe Littlejohn took over, with Haymon advisin’ and PBC promotin’. And Calvin Ford’s the one trainin’ him, makin’ sure he’s ready to fight. It’s a whole team effort, you see. Like plantin’ a field, can’t do it all by yourself. You need folks to help you out.
But who’s *really* in charge? Well, that’s hard to say. Seems like things are always changin’ in that boxin’ world. One minute it’s this guy, the next minute it’s somebody else. Keeps things interestin’, I guess. Like a soap opera, but with more punchin’.
Anyways, that’s what I know about Gervonta Davis and his managers. Hope it makes sense to ya. It’s all a bit of a mess if you ask me, but that’s the fight game for ya. Always somethin’ goin’ on, always someone new tryin’ to get a piece of the action.
Just remember, Tank’s a good fighter, a real strong boy. And he’s got a lot of folks helpin’ him out, whether it’s Mayweather, Littlejohn, Haymon, or Calvin. As long as he keeps winnin’, that’s all that matters, right? That’s what pays the bills, and keeps everyone happy. And that’s the truth, plain and simple.
