Alright, so you wanna know about them Liverpool and Inter Milan fellas, huh? Them football kickers. Let me tell ya, it’s a whole bunch of ‘em, been playin’ for both sides, back and forth like a swingin’ door.
First off, that Ince fella. Paul Ince, they called him. He was the very first one to go and play for both them clubs. Liverpool first, then over to Inter Milan. Guess he liked the pasta better over there, or somethin’. Can’t blame him, I do love a good plate of spaghetti myself. He was a tough one, that Ince. Ran around like a chicken with its head cut off, always chasin’ the ball.
Now, they just played each other again, Liverpool and Inter. Champions League, they called it. Big fancy game over in Milan. San Siro, that’s the stadium’s name. Heard it’s real big, holds more folks than our whole darn county, I reckon. They play there all the time, Inter and AC Milan too. Even the Italy team plays there sometimes. Big deal, I guess.
- Paul Ince
- Some other fellas too, but I can’t ‘member all their names. Too many darn foreigners.
And there’s this new fella, Thuram, they call him. Marcus Thuram. Plays for Inter now, but they say Liverpool might want him. He’s a striker, means he kicks the ball into the net, tryin’ to score goals. Good lookin’ boy, too. Strong like a bull, that one. Folks say he’s got good genes, whatever that means. His daddy was a famous player too, I hear. Like father, like son, they say. Always runnin’ around, kickin’ that ball. Don’t they ever get tired?
Anyways, these Liverpool and Inter fellas, they been battlin’ it out for years. Champions League, other fancy cups, all sorts of games. Always a big to-do. Folks get all riled up, yellin’ and screamin’. Me? I just like watchin’ the pretty boys run around. Keeps me entertained, you know? Beats watchin’ the chickens peck at the dirt all day.
San Siro, that stadium, it’s seen a lot of football, I tell ya. European Cup finals and all that. Inter won one there back in ‘65. Another team, Feyenoord, won one there too, in ‘70. That’s a long time ago, even before your grandpappy was born, I bet. Lots of history there, they say. Me? I just care if the game’s good. Don’t matter to me where they play it, long as there’s some good kickin’ and runnin’.
So, yeah, that’s what I know about them Liverpool and Inter Milan players. A bunch of fellas runnin’ around, kickin’ a ball, tryin’ to score goals. Some played for both teams, some just played for one. Ince was the first, Thuram might be next. Who knows? These football fellas, they’re always movin’ around. Like a bunch of restless cows, always lookin’ for greener pastures. Can’t keep up with ’em, I tell ya.
But one thing’s for sure, when Liverpool plays Inter, it’s always a good show. Lots of excitement, lots of yellin’. And that’s good enough for me. Keeps this old lady entertained, you know? Now, where’s my tea? All this talkin’s made me thirsty.
And that San Siro stadium, it’s a real beauty, they say. Big and grand. I ain’t never seen it myself, but I seen pictures. Looks like a palace fit for a king, or maybe a really good football team. They got them fancy lights and everything. Must be somethin’ to see it all lit up at night, with the crowds roarin’. Makes our little town square look like a chicken coop, I reckon.
Anyways, that’s all I got for ya. Liverpool, Inter Milan, Ince, Thuram, San Siro. A whole bunch of names and places. Just remember, it’s all about kickin’ that ball and havin’ a good time. That’s what I always say. And don’t forget to eat your vegetables, they’re good for ya. Now go on, git outta here, you’re botherin’ an old lady.
