Alright, let’s talk about this Dino Tomlin fella. Now, I ain’t no fancy football expert, ya hear? I just watch the games and see what I see. This Dino, he’s Mike Tomlin’s boy. You know, Mike Tomlin, the Steelers coach? Yeah, that one. Big guy, always lookin’ serious on the sidelines.
So, Dino, he plays football too. College football, that is. He ain’t in the NFL like his daddy yet. Been playin’ for a while now, seems like. First, he was at Maryland. You know, that college team? The Terrapins, they call ’em. Don’t ask me why, sounds like some kinda turtle to me. Anyway, Dino, he was a wide receiver there.
Now, from what I hear, bein’ a wide receiver means you gotta catch the ball. Run fast, catch the ball, that’s the job. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, I guess it ain’t so easy, or everyone would be doin’ it. Dino, he played there for three years, Maryland, that is. Then, he up and decided to leave. Said he was transferrin’. That’s what they call it, “transferrin’.” Means he’s goin’ to a different school to play.
- He went to Maryland first.
- Played wide receiver.
- Then he transferred.
Now, he’s playin’ for Boston College. That’s up in Massachusetts, I think. Way up north. Cold weather up there. Hope he’s got a good coat. They got a football team too, Boston College. The Eagles, they call ’em. So, Dino’s an Eagle now. Guess he traded in his turtle shell for some wings. Heh.
His daddy, Mike, well he’s real proud of him, you can tell. Always goin’ to his games when he can. You know, coaches work a lot. But he makes time for his boy. That’s important, seein’ your kids play. Family’s important. Even if your kid ain’t no superstar, you gotta be there for ’em.
Dino’s got a brother too, Mason. He plays college ball too. Division I, they say. That’s the big leagues in college, I guess. So, both of Mike Tomlin’s boys playin’ football. Must run in the family, huh? Like how some folks are good at bakin’ pies, and some folks are good at catchin’ footballs. That’s just how it is.
Now, I don’t know if Dino’s gonna be a big star in the NFL like his daddy. That’s a tough road. Lots of good players out there. But he’s workin’ hard, that much is clear. He’s gettin’ an education, playin’ the sport he loves. And he’s got his family supportin’ him. That’s more than some folks got, so he’s doin’ alright. He’s doin’ just fine.
Mike Tomlin, he’s got a good record as a coach. Been coachin’ the Steelers for a long time now. Won a Super Bowl or two. That’s a big deal. People in Pittsburgh, they love him. He’s a big name around here. Probably the biggest name after Roethlisberger and Ward retired, those other football fellas. But Dino, he’s makin’ his own name now. He’s not just “Mike Tomlin’s son.” He’s Dino Tomlin, the football player. And that’s somethin’ to be proud of.
So, that’s the story of Dino Tomlin, as far as I know it. Just a young fella playin’ football, tryin’ to make his way. He’s got a famous daddy, but he’s doin’ his own thing. And that’s good. That’s the way it should be. Good for him. He’s playing wide receiver, catching the ball, and playing for Boston College Eagles after transferring from Maryland. His brother Mason Tomlin is also a college football player. And Mike Tomlin’s there supporting his boys every step of the way. That’s what matters.
Family, football, and hard work. That’s the Tomlin way, I reckon. And Dino, he’s livin’ it, one game at a time.
