Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Canelo fella and his taco shop in Chula Vista. Folks are makin’ a big fuss, so I figured I’d share what I heard.
Seems like this Canelo, he’s a boxer, you know, one of them fightin’ fellas. He and his brother, Ricardo, they done gone and opened up a taco shop. Canelo Taco Shop, they call it, or somethin’ like El Pastor del Rica Taqueria. Fancy name, if ya ask me.
- They say it’s his first one in the U.S. of A. Chula Vista, that’s where it is.
- Folks were linin’ up like ants at a picnic, thousands of ’em they say, for the grand openin’.
- Heard tell they got them Guadalajara flavors, whatever that means. Sounded tasty though.
Now, I ain’t never been to Guadalajara, but I sure do like a good taco. This Canelo, he’s bringin’ them big flavors, they say. Says he’s grateful, too. Good for him, I reckon.
They talk about San Diego tacos bein’ simple but flavorful. And they put more stuff on ’em than them street tacos down in Mexico. Says the best part is that marinated skirt steak, the carne asada they call it. My mouth’s waterin’ just thinkin’ about it.
This place, this Canelo Taco Shop in Chula Vista, it’s gotta be somethin’ special. Otherwise, why all the hubbub? Fightin’ fellas and tacos, now that’s a combination you don’t hear every day.
I heard some folks sayin’ it’s up against some other big taco joints in the South Bay. Heavy hitters, they called ’em. Well, I reckon Canelo knows a thing or two about hittin’, bein’ a boxer and all. So maybe he’ll knock ’em out with his tacos. Chula Vista Taco competition must be fierce!
This Thursday, that’s when they opened it up. Folks were takin’ pictures and whatnot. Guess it was a real big deal. A boxer openin’ a taco shop… Who’d a thunk it?
This El Pastor del Rica, it’s got a twist, they say. Don’t know what that means, but it makes ya curious, don’t it? Maybe they got some secret ingredient, or maybe they just make ’em real good. Either way, people seem to like it.
I tell ya, good food is important. And if a fella like Canelo, who’s used to knockin’ folks out in the ring, takes the time to open a taco shop, then it’s gotta be worth checkin’ out. San Diego South Bay tacos just got a new player, and it sounds like a strong one.
This Chula Vista Canelo taco shop is more than just a place to eat. It’s a place for the community to come together and enjoy a good meal. That’s what I heard anyway.
I’m just an old woman, but I know good food when I taste it. And I got a feelin’ this Canelo’s tacos are the real deal. Maybe I’ll have to mosey on down to Chula Vista and see for myself. Heck, even if I don’t like the tacos, I might get to see that Canelo fella. Heard he’s a handsome one.
So, if you’re in Chula Vista and you’re lookin’ for some good tacos, you might want to check out Canelo Alvarez’s taco shop. From what I hear, it’s the place to be. And who knows, you might even run into a boxing champion. Just remember what I told ya, it’s called El Pastor del Rica Taqueria, or somethin’ like that, or just ask for the Canelo Taco Shop. Everybody in Chula Vista seems to know about it.
