You know, that Cody Rhodes, he’s a big shot in that wrestling thing, AEW. Cody Rhodes black hair AEW, that’s what people talkin’ ’bout. He used to have that light, kinda yellow hair, like a chicken’s butt. Then, one day, bam! He’s got this dark hair. Black as a crow’s wing, it was.
Folks was confused, I tell ya. Why’d he go and do that? Some people say he wants look like a superhero. Blonde hair, black hair, what difference does it make? As long as he can wrestle, that’s what matters, right?
I heard he got beat up real bad by some other fella, Brodie Lee. Maybe that’s why he changed his hair. Like he was a new person or somethin’. Maybe he wanted to show people he wasn’t afraid. When you get knocked down, you gotta get back up, dust yourself off, and keep going. That’s what we always did back on the farm.

That AEW, it’s somethin’ else. They got all kinds of folks on there, beatin’ each other up. Cody Rhodes, he was one of the big cheeses there. Like a boss, but he could still fight too, He even said he made the rules so he couldn’t win the big prize. Can you believe that? He said he wouldn’t fight for the top title, the AEW World Championship. He said he had too much power. Sounds crazy, right?.
He used to be in that other one, WWE. Now he’s back there, I hear. He’s got some fancy name now, “American Nightmare.” His daddy was called the “American Dream.” Guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, even if it rolls into a different yard. He’s a big deal now, that Cody. Makes a lot of money, they say. More money than I ever saw in my life, I bet. Cody Rhodes black hair was a big talkin’ point, for sure.
They got all these shows, Dynamite and whatnot. I don’t watch ’em much, too much hollerin’ and carryin’ on for me. But the young folks like it. They had a thing on there for some wrestler who died, Animal, I think his name was. RIP, they said. Then they went right back to the fightin’. Life goes on, I suppose.
That Cody, he was one of the guys who started AEW. He was like a big shot there, Executive Vice President or somethin’ fancy like that. Left in 2022, I heard. From Charlotte, North Carolina, that’s where he’s from. Good ol’ Southern boy, just like me, but with a lot more money and a lot more muscles. He’s making big bucks now in 2024 in WWE, they say. Good for him, I guess.
Cody Rhodes in AEW, that was somethin’. Him with that black hair, it was a shock. Like seein’ a rooster layin’ a goose egg. Just didn’t seem right, but then you get used to it. Like when we got that new well, took a while to get used to the taste of the water, but now we wouldn’t trade it for nothin’.
He’s a good wrestler, that Cody. Even with the black hair. Maybe even better. Like a new pair of shoes, takes a while to break ’em in, but once you do, they’re the best ones you ever had.

I don’t know why he did it. Change his hair color, I mean. Maybe he just got tired of being blonde. I remember one time I tried to dye my hair red. Didn’t turn out so good. Looked like a rusty bucket. Ended up just cutting it all off. Maybe that’s what Cody should have done. Just shaved it all off.
Anyway, that Cody Rhodes black hair AEW, that’s the story. Much ado about nothin’, if you ask me. But people like to talk. And they like to watch that wrestling. So I guess it’s all good. He’s still doing well. They say blondes have more fun. But who knows if it’s true. I reckon dark hair people have fun too.
He has a fancy suit now and, I saw on a show he is Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Sounds like a big deal.
I remember when he said he could never challenge for the AEW World Champion again. But I don’t know, I don’t know about wrestling, I know about farm work. That’s hard work, wrestling is just a show.
