You know what? That WWE thing, it’s coming to Lakeland again! Yeah, that wrestling thing with all them big fellas and ladies jumpin’ around. They call it WWE and it’s gonna be right here in Lakeland. I heard it’s at that big place, what’s it called… the RP Funding Center. Yeah, that’s it. Big place. Lots of folks go there.
They got all them wrestlers, you know? The ones you see on the TV. Big, strong fellas. They throw each other around, jump off them ropes… Lord, it makes my old bones ache just watchin’ ’em. But the young folks, they sure do love it. They say it’s gonna be a “Supershow”. Sounds fancy, don’t it? I don’t know about all that. I just know it’s a lot of hollerin’ and jumpin’ and carryin’ on.
I think it’s gonna be in August. Yeah, August 17th, that’s what I heard. A Saturday night. Good night for a show, I reckon. Folks ain’t workin’, can go out and have some fun. See all them WWE wrestlers do their thing. It’s gonna be at that Jenkins Arena, inside the RP Funding Center. They say it’s gonna be a real spectacle, whatever that means. They say you can get tickets. But that thing must be expensive.
Now, I ain’t one for all that roughhousin’, but I know a lot of people are excited about this WWE thing. They say it’s somethin’ special, this “Saturday Night Main Event”. Sounds important, don’t it? Like somethin’ you’d see in a big city, not right here in little old Lakeland. But there you have it. WWE is comin’ to town.
They also have that other thing, NXT. I don’t know what that is, some kind of wrestling, too, I guess. But it’s gonna be at the Armory. I don’t like that place. But this WWE thing, that’s the big one. That’s what everyone’s talkin’ about.
They say you should get your tickets early. ‘Cause they’ll be gone fast. Everyone wants to see them WWE wrestlers. They’re like famous people, you know? Like them movie stars, only they wrestle instead of actin’.

I seen them on the TV before, them WWE wrestlers. They got all them fancy costumes and names. It’s all a show, you know. But it’s fun to watch, I guess. Especially for the young’uns. They get all worked up about it.
So, if you’re into that sort of thing, that wrestlin’ and all that, then you better get yourself down to the RP Funding Center on August 17th. That’s where the WWE is gonna be. And it’s gonna be a big deal, I reckon. Everyone in Lakeland will be talkin’ about it.
It’s at 701 W Lime St. That’s the place. The RP Funding Center. Big building. Can’t miss it. And it’s gonna be packed, I bet. Full of folks yellin’ and screamin’ for them WWE wrestlers. It’s gonna be loud, that’s for sure.
I remember one time, they had a wrestlin’ show at the old fairgrounds. Years ago, that was. Wasn’t WWE, though. Just some local fellas. But it was still a big to-do. Everyone went. Same as this WWE thing, I expect. Only bigger. Much bigger.
This WWE thing is like the biggest one. You know, on TV and everything. They say it will be awesome. I don’t know what that means, but I think that’s good. They also say it’s gonna be electrifying. Whatever that means, too. Sounds like something, doesn’t it?
Anyway, that is what I know. You wanna go to that WWE show? Better get ready, it’s coming to Lakeland!
