Man, what a day! I’ve been trying to catch the Zhizhen Zhang vs Tsitsipas match all day. It’s been a real rollercoaster, let me tell you.
So, first thing this morning, I fired up my laptop and started hunting for a way to watch it. I thought, “There’s gotta be a stream somewhere, right?” Found this site, *, that seemed to be the official place for ATP matches. Looked legit, but of course, they wanted me to sign up for a subscription.
- Tried looking for free options first, because, who wants to pay if they don’t have to?
- Browsed around, and some folks online were talking about using bet365 to watch it for free. Apparently, if you have a funded account, you can stream matches. But I do not have an account there.
Next, I checked out the United Cup’s YouTube channel, thinking maybe they’d have something. The website said some matches are available there, depending on your country. I spent a good chunk of time trying to figure out if this match was one of them, but no luck. It was like a maze, I tell you.
Then I stumbled upon the Tennis Channel. They have an app, and their website, and they were advertising subscriptions. $109.99 a year, or $9.99 a month. That’s a bit steep for just one match, you know? But I was getting desperate.
I even checked out Hulu, because they were showing some U.S. Open matches. Thought maybe, just maybe, they’d have this one too. Their bundle with Disney+ and ESPN+ is $16.99 a month, which isn’t terrible, but still, it’s another subscription.
After that, I saw something about Eurosport having the match. Their website said it was starting at 9:00 AM on May 31st. But I couldn’t find a way to actually watch it on their site. It was just information about the match, not the actual live stream. Super frustrating!
Then there was this other site saying the match was on Court SUZANNE-LENGLEN at 6:00 PM, but again, no actual link to watch it. I was going in circles at this point.
There was also some info about the Rolex Shanghai Masters. Apparently, Tsitsipas and Medvedev might play each other there on October 9th. And Tennis TV was showing that tournament. But again, it’s another subscription, and it’s a different tournament!
Finally, I went back to Tennis TV. I mean, I had to give up eventually. They were showing the Rolex Shanghai Masters, and it said you could watch up to seven courts at once. Sounded pretty good, but still, I really wanted to see this specific Zhang vs Tsitsipas match.
The Result
In the end, I caved and signed up for a month of Tennis TV. I paid what I have to, and guess what? I found the match! I finally got to watch it after all that searching. It was a great match, too. Zhang played really well, but Tsitsipas ended up winning.
It was a whole day adventure just to watch a tennis match. Crazy, right? But hey, at least I got to see it in the end. And now I know where to go next time I want to watch a tennis match. Maybe I’ll keep this Tennis TV subscription for a while. We’ll see.
