Okay, so, today I want to talk about my little adventure trying to get an Aaron Judge signed jersey. It wasn’t easy, let me tell you.
First off, I tried to go the free route. I read online that the best way to get a free and authentic autograph from Aaron is at a ballpark. Made sense, right? So, I went to a few games, waited around after, the whole deal. I even brought a nice, clean jersey, hoping to catch his eye. But no luck. I guess he gets tons of requests every day, and it’s just impossible to get to everyone. I get it, he’s a busy guy.
Then I thought, maybe I could get one through his foundation, the ALL RISE Foundation. I looked it up and found out they don’t provide autographs. That was a dead end, too. They specifically said not to send items to be signed. Bummer.
So, I started looking at online stores. One place, called something like *, had a bunch of signed jerseys. They claimed they were all authentic, but the prices were way out of my budget. I mean, I wanted the jersey, but not enough to empty my bank account.
Next, I hit up eBay. That seemed more promising. I saw a lot of listings for Aaron Judge signed jerseys, and the prices were a bit more reasonable. Plus, they had that whole “buyer protection” thing, so I figured it was worth a shot. I started bidding on a few that looked legit, watched a few auctions with the kind of anticipation.
- I saw one auction for a white jersey, autographed, with some “All Rise” inscription.
- It was some kind of limited edition art piece, which was cool, but the bidding was crazy high.
- I almost got sucked into bidding, but then the price went beyond what I was comfortable with.
I kept searching and bidding, but kept getting outbid. It was a bit frustrating, honestly. I started to feel like maybe this whole signed jersey thing wasn’t meant to be.
But then, I stumbled upon another auction. It was for a simple signed jersey, no fancy artwork or limited edition stuff. The starting bid was pretty low, and there weren’t many people bidding on it. I put in a bid, crossed my fingers, and waited.
And guess what? I won! I actually won the auction! I couldn’t believe it. I finally got my Aaron Judge signed jersey, and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg.
It felt so good to finally get it. It wasn’t easy, and it took a lot of searching and waiting. I am super excited to have it in my collection now.
So, yeah, that’s my story. It was a bit of a rollercoaster, but I’m happy with how it turned out. If you’re looking to get a signed jersey, I’d say be patient, do your research, and don’t be afraid to try different routes. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll get lucky like I did.
