Okay, so I’ve been digging into this whole AJ Lee and WWE thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a ride. You know, AJ Lee, or AJ Mendez as she’s known now, she’s been a big name in wrestling, but her journey hasn’t been all smooth sailing.
So I started by looking into her recent gig with WOW Women of Wrestling. She was there as an executive producer and color commentator from 2021 to 2023. But, just the other day, I saw on her Instagram stories that she’s leaving WOW. Her contract was only for a season, and it’s up now. She was all nice, thanking the other wrestlers and saying she might come back someday. It got me thinking, what’s next for her?
Then, I went down memory lane to her time in WWE. She left there back in 2015, which was kind of a big deal. She was a big star, but there was some drama. I found out she had some health issues and maybe wasn’t too happy with how things were going in WWE for women at that time. Plus, there was all that stuff with her husband, CM Punk, and his legal battles with WWE. It sounds like she was in a tough spot.
I remember she and Kaitlyn were like, the best of friends back in the NXT days, and even when they became big shots in WWE. It was cool to see that bond. But it also made me wonder how much of an impact those friendships had when she decided to leave.
Here’s what I did:
- Checked out AJ Lee’s Instagram: Wanted to see what she’s saying about leaving WOW.
- Read up on her WWE departure: Dug into articles and forums to understand why she left in 2015.
- Explored her friendship with Kaitlyn: Looked at their time together in NXT and WWE.
It’s all pretty interesting. She’s been away from wrestling mostly, except for this WOW thing. And now, with her leaving there, it makes you wonder if she’ll ever get back in the ring. There’s also this whole thing with AJ Styles, another wrestler, who might be leaving WWE soon. No relation, but it’s interesting how their paths kind of mirror each other.
I even listened to this podcast, “Cheap Heat,” where they talked about AJ Lee. It just adds another layer to the whole story.
In the end, I realized that AJ Lee’s journey is more than just about wrestling. It’s about dealing with the ups and downs, making tough choices, and figuring out what’s best for you. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what she does next.
