Yo, what’s up, everybody? It’s your boy back again, and today we’re gonna talk about all of Lomachenko’s losses. Yeah, that boxing dude, the one who’s supposed to be all that. He’s lost a few times, and I’m here to break it all down for ya.
The First One: Orlando Salido
Alright, so let’s start with the first time this guy lost, way back when he was just startin’ out. He went up against this tough dude named Orlando Salido. Now, here’s the thing, Salido didn’t even make the weight for the fight! Can you believe that? He came in way heavier than he was supposed to. And you know what? He still beat Loma. They said it was a “split decision,” which basically means it was close, but still, a loss is a loss, right?
The Second One: Teofimo Lopez
Then we got this other fight, against Teofimo Lopez. This was a big one, for a bunch of belts. And guess what? Loma lost again! This time, it wasn’t even close. The judges all said Lopez won, clear as day. Some folks say Loma started the fight too slow, let Lopez get ahead, and couldn’t catch up. Maybe that’s true, maybe it ain’t. But the bottom line is, he lost.
The Latest One: Devin Haney
And now, the most recent one, the one everyone’s been talkin’ about. Loma fought Devin Haney, another young gun, for the lightweight undisputed championship. And just like the Lopez fight, the judges all said Haney won. Another “unanimous decision,” they called it. I watched the fight, and I gotta say, it was close. Loma landed some good shots, snapped Haney’s head back a few times. But I guess it wasn’t enough. I think that Loma started too slow, he gave up too many early rounds.
Why So Many Losses?
- Starting Slow: I did a lot of searching on the internet, A lot of people seem to think Loma starts fights too slow. Like he’s trying to “download” his opponent’s style or something. Against Lopez, some say he gave away six rounds doing this!
- Weight Issues: Remember that Salido fight? The dude was way overweight. That’s gotta be a disadvantage for Loma.
- Not Western: I saw some comments about this online. Some people think because he’s not from the West, he doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt from judges.
So there you have it. All of Lomachenko’s losses. It’s not a pretty picture, especially for a guy who’s supposed to be one of the best. But hey, that’s boxing for ya. You win some, you lose some. I’m just here to tell you about it, straight up, no fancy talk.
