So, I heard about this golfer named Ally Ewing. Turns out, her husband is Charlie Ewing, who’s the head coach for the Mississippi State women’s golf team. Interesting, right?
I started digging a bit. They got married on May 30, 2020. That’s a while back. Then, I found out that Ally had a killer round at the AIG Women’s Open recently, scoring a 66. That’s pretty impressive if you ask me.
While I was looking around, I noticed a funny thing. There’s this other golfer, Charlie Ewing Jr., who’s apparently a distant cousin. Small world, huh? Oh, and Ally is from Dallas, Texas. That’s where she started playing golf, I guess.
More Stuff I Found
Here are some other random things I stumbled upon:
- Ally’s been doing well lately: She was T5 at the 2024 KPMG Women’s PGA and made the cut in all five women’s Majors in 2024. Not bad at all.
- She has Type 1 diabetes: This one’s a bit more serious. She found out about it right after securing her card on the Epson Tour. That must have been tough.
Anyway, I thought I’d share these random bits about Ally Ewing and her life. It’s always cool to learn about these athletes and their lives off the course, you know?
