Man, I gotta tell you about this little adventure I had today trying to catch the Auburn game on the radio. It all started this morning when I realized the game was gonna be on, and I wouldn’t be near a TV. No problem, I thought, I’ll just listen to it on the radio like in the good old days.
So, I dug out my old portable radio, the one I used to take to the beach. I put in some fresh batteries, turned it on, and started fiddling with the dial. Static, static, and more static. I went through all the stations, spinning and adjusting. I remembered I should find the right station.
I tried to recall the station number, I could not remember exactly. But I am sure it is one of the AM stations. I switched to the AM band, and tried again. After several attempts, I heard the sound of music, but still not the live radio I was looking for.
Then, I tried to find some information online, and it took me a while to find the official broadcast. It listed out all the radio stations that carry the game. And guess what? The flagship station was right there. What a relief! I jotted down the station number.
I went back to my radio and carefully tuned it to the right frequency. And boom! There it was! The roar of the crowd, the voice of the announcer, it was like being right there in the stadium. I cranked up the volume and settled in to enjoy the game.
It felt good to listen to the game on the radio again, it had been a while. It took a little effort, but it was totally worth it. And hey, it made me appreciate the convenience of modern technology a little bit more. But sometimes, the old-fashioned way is just more satisfying.
