Okay, so I got curious about the average height of NFL running backs and decided to do a little digging. It’s not something I normally think about, but hey, why not?

My Little Investigation
First, I jumped onto Google, you know, the usual starting point. I typed in something like “average height NFL running backs” and started browsing through the results.
I found some websites that listed player heights and started noting them down. I wasn’t super scientific about it, just grabbed a bunch of names I recognized and some I didn’t.
Then, I whipped out my phone’s calculator. Yep, good old-fashioned math time! I added up all the heights I had collected.
After that, I divided that total by the number of players I had looked at. Basic averaging stuff, nothing fancy.
What I Discovered
- Most of the heights I saw were clustered around a certain range.
- It looked like the “sweet spot,” so to speak.
- I noticed a few outliers, of course, some guys significantly taller or shorter, but they were the exceptions.
It was a fun little exercise, and I satisfied my curiosity. Plus, it gave me something to share. That is all!
