Okay, so I wanted to keep better track of how the Bears are doing this season. I’m a huge fan, but sometimes life gets in the way, and I miss bits and pieces. I figured, why not create a simple way to log the scores?
First, I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen. Yeah, I’m old school like that. I could have used an app or something, but sometimes it’s just easier to jot things down.
Then, I thought about what I really needed. Just the basic score, right? So, I made a simple table with columns for:
- Date of the Game
- Opponent
- Bears’ Score
- Opponent’s Score
- Win/Loss/Tie (because, hey, ties happen)
Next, I watched the games(Or find information about it)! Every time the Bears played, I would follow score and get other information, and use that get the final score. And if I couldn’t get final one, I’d check back later on ESPN or some other sports site.
After each game, I filled in the information in my little table. It was super satisfying to see the scores all lined up, even when the Bears… well, let’s just say not every game was a win.
Finally, all I have done is to keep this paper in a safe place! I actually tucked it into my desk drawer, right next to my lucky Bears hat. Now, whenever I want to check on how the season is going, I just pull it out and take a look.
Simple, right?
It’s not fancy, but it works for me. And honestly, sometimes the simplest solutions are the best. Now I can easily keep up with the Bears, win or lose (but mostly win, I hope!). Go Bears!
