Alright, so, I’ve been digging into this whole “best boxing trainers of all time” thing. It’s a rabbit hole, man, let me tell you! I started by just casually searching for the best trainers, you know, just to see what the internet had to say.
First, I typed in “best boxing trainers of all time” into the search bar. Hit enter. Boom! A bunch of names popped up. Honestly, I only recognized a few.
There was this one guy, Cus D’Amato. Apparently, this dude was a legend. I read that he trained Mike Tyson, Floyd Patterson, and some other guy named Jos Torres. They all made it to the big leagues, the International Boxing Hall of Fame. So, I figured, this D’Amato guy must have been pretty good, right?

Then, I started looking into other names. There was Harry Wiley Sr, who some people online were saying was THE greatest ever. I hadn’t heard of him before, but hey, the internet can be a goldmine of information sometimes.
And of course, you can’t talk about boxing without mentioning Muhammad Ali. Not a trainer, I know, but I got sidetracked reading about him. The guy was a total icon. I watched some old footage of his fights. Man, he was fast!
I also stumbled upon Jack Blackburn. This guy was a fighter himself back in the day, like, the early 1900s. He fought some seriously tough opponents. Six times against a guy named Sam Langford, and he even faced off against Harry Greb. I mean, these are names even I kinda know, and I’m no boxing expert. It seems like Blackburn learned a thing or two from those fights, you know, what makes a fighter truly great.
So, after spending hours reading articles, watching videos, and getting lost in boxing history, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s really hard to pick just one “best” trainer. There are so many great ones, each with their own style and their own champion fighters.
But yeah, that’s my little journey into the world of boxing trainers. It was a fun ride. Maybe I’ll even try to learn some boxing moves myself. Who knows?
