Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with these Chet Holmgren basketball cards lately, and I figured I’d jot down what I’ve been up to. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, to be honest.
First off, I started digging into which Chet cards are even out there. Turns out, there’s a bunch from 2022. I got my hands on a few, like the 2022 Hoops #282 Tribute and the 2022 Optic #2 The Rookies – the red one, which is apparently limited to 99. These were the ones that saw the biggest price jump in the last month, so I thought, “Why not?”
Then, I went down this rabbit hole of trying to figure out if these cards are actually worth anything. I mean, Chet’s stats are pretty good – he’s pulling in 16.5 points per game, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists. Not too shabby. And people are saying he might be the next big thing, which, you know, could mean his cards will go up in value.
- Scouring for Cards: I spent a good chunk of time just looking for these cards online and in a few local shops. It felt like a treasure hunt, honestly.
- Checking the Numbers: I tried to look at Chet’s performance and how that might affect the card prices. It’s all a bit of a gamble, but his stats are decent.
- Weighing the Investment: This is where I started to overthink things. Are these cards a good investment or not? I read some stuff about his rookie cards potentially being worth more later on.
I also found this 2022 Panini Prizm Silver Chet Holmgren #266 card. It was going for like $19.95 raw, but if you get it graded and it’s a perfect 10, apparently it can go for over $400! That’s a huge jump. It got me thinking about how consistent good plays can really boost a player’s card value.
So, I ended up grabbing a few of these cards. I’m not really sure if I’m doing this right, but it’s been kind of fun. I guess only time will tell if I made a smart move or not. Right now, I’m just enjoying the process of collecting and learning more about this whole basketball card thing.
The Aftermath
After all this, I’m sitting here with a small stack of Chet Holmgren cards, wondering what the heck I’m going to do with them. I’ve got no immediate plans to sell them, though. I think I’ll just hold onto them for a bit and see what happens. It’s been an interesting little adventure, for sure. Maybe I’ll update this later if anything crazy happens. Who knows, right?
