Okay, so I saw this wild trend going around about Bo Nickal’s blue hair, and I just had to try it out myself. I mean, the dude’s a beast, and that hair? Iconic. So here’s how my little experiment went down.

Prepping for the Blue
First things first, I gathered my supplies. Obviously, I needed blue hair dye. I’m not a pro, so I went with a semi-permanent one, just in case things went south. I also grabbed some gloves, an old towel (because, you know, staining), and a mixing bowl.
- Semi-permanent blue hair dye
- Gloves (a must!)
- Old towel
- Mixing bowl
- Applicator brush (came with the dye)
The Dyeing Process
My hair condiction now is light brown, I have to make it blonde as the base color.
I mixed my bleach with the volumn 30 developer in a bowl.
I sectioned my hair and applied it to the top part of my hair with the applicator.
I put on a shower cap and wait for 45 minutes.
Time for the real deal! I put on my gloves (seriously, don’t skip this) and started applying the blue dye. The instructions on the box were pretty straightforward. I just followed them to a T. I sectioned my hair to make sure I got every single strand.
I used the applicator brush to slather that blue goo all over my top hair. It was kinda messy, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right? Once I was sure everything was covered, I wrapped my hair in the old towel (like a turban, haha) and set a timer. The box said to leave it in for 30 minutes, so I did just that.

The Waiting Game
Those 30 minutes felt like forever! I kept checking myself in the mirror, half-expecting to see some crazy transformation happening in real-time. Spoiler alert: it didn’t. Patience is a virtue, I guess.
Rinse and Reveal
Finally, the timer went off! I hopped in the shower and rinsed out the dye. The water turned all sorts of crazy blue shades, which was kinda cool. I kept rinsing until the water ran clear, then I gave my hair a quick shampoo and condition.
And there it was! My very own Bo Nickal blue hair. It’s not perfect, and my hair style can’t compare with Bo’s. But it’s definitely blue. And you know what? I kinda dig it! It’s a fun change, and it definitely makes a statement.
Mission accomplished, even it’s not perfect.
