Alright, so, I wanted to get to the bottom of this whole LPGA yardages thing. You know, like, how far these pro ladies are actually hitting the ball? It’s always been something that’s bugged me, not knowing the specifics.
First thing I did was just poke around online, you know, the usual spots. Checked out the LPGA website, looked at some golf forums, that sort of thing. I saw some general numbers being thrown around, but nothing super concrete. I wanted the real data, the nitty-gritty stuff.
Then, I remembered that the LPGA actually tracks a bunch of stats. So I went to their stats page and started digging. It was a bit overwhelming at first, I’ll admit. So many numbers, so many categories!
My Exploration Process
- Driving Distance: This was the obvious first place to look. I found the average driving distances for all the players, and let me tell you, some of these women are crushing it! We’re talking well over 250 yards on average. I was honestly a bit shocked.
- Club Distances: I wanted more than just driver distance, though. I wanted to know how far they’re hitting each club. This part was a little harder to find, but I did manage to find some info on player forums. I even found some players sharing their yardages.
- Comparing to Myself: Naturally, I started comparing their distances to my own. Let’s just say, it was a humbling experience. My driver goes nowhere near as far as theirs.
- Putting It All Together: I started putting all this information into a little spreadsheet, just to keep track of everything. It was kind of fun, actually, seeing all the numbers laid out like that. It took a long time and my eyes are tired, but I just felt I had to do this.
After all that digging, I finally felt like I had a pretty good grasp on LPGA yardages. I made it! These women are seriously impressive. It definitely gave me a new appreciation for their skill and power. And maybe, just maybe, it’ll inspire me to work on my own game a little more. Though, I doubt I’ll ever be hitting it like Nelly Korda!
