Well now, I reckon you folks might be wonderin’ how much that Brent Dearmon fella gets paid. He’s the head coach over at the University of North Alabama now, but he’s been around in the football game a long time. Been a quarterback coach, offensive coordinator, and all sorts of things for teams like Kansas and Middle Tennessee State. So, let me tell ya what I know about his salary and all the talk ’round it.
Brent Dearmon, born on December 19, 1984, is still young but already made a name for himself in football. Now, being the head coach at North Alabama, he’s likely pullin’ in a decent paycheck. From what I gather, his salary’s round $229,061 a year. Now, that’s a good chunk of change, but it ain’t quite the big money some of them fancy coaches get. Ain’t no surprise though, football salaries can be a bit all over the place, dependin’ on where you’re at and how good you are at runnin’ a team.
Before he took this gig at North Alabama, Brent was workin’ as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Kansas. Now, that’s where he really got some attention. If you look back at it, when he was with Kansas, the offense wasn’t too shabby. In fact, under Dearmon’s watch, they averaged 36.5 points in 2015 and 31.5 points in 2016. That’s some mighty fine work, if you ask me. But like any job in football, things don’t always stay smooth for long.
Brent had a contract with Kansas that had a buyout clause in it. If he ever left the school, he was supposed to pay ‘em $500,000, which, let’s face it, is a whole lotta money. But, instead of payin’ all that, he worked out a deal and agreed to pay only $100,000 in smaller chunks. Seems like that worked out better for everyone, and he didn’t have to cough up a huge sum all at once. I reckon that’s just good business on his part.
Now, there’s been talk that when Brent Dearmon stepped in as the offensive coordinator for Kansas, his pay was actually less than what his predecessor was makin’. This fella named Les Koenning was the one before him, and ol’ Les was gettin’ paid a bit more. But you know how it is in the coaching world. You get what you can, and you make the best of it. Maybe one day, Brent will be makin’ more than ol’ Les, who knows?
In any case, it’s clear that Brent Dearmon knows his football. Whether he’s makin’ a little or a lot, the important thing is how well he can coach those players and lead that team. I’m sure folks at North Alabama are hopin’ that he’ll turn the team around and bring ‘em some success. As for his salary, well, it’s a bit lower than some other big names in football, but for now, it’s a good start for him in this new role.
And if you’re keepin’ up with all that’s goin’ on with Brent, he’s also active on social media. You can find him postin’ updates and stuff on his Twitter page. Ain’t no doubt that he’s workin’ hard and stayin’ busy. Whether it’s his salary or his career, you can bet this guy is gonna keep movin’ up, one way or another.
So, to sum it up, Brent Dearmon’s salary is $229,061 as the head coach at the University of North Alabama. Not too shabby, but not quite at the top of the pay scale either. Still, the man’s got a lot of potential, and with his experience, who knows where he’ll go next!
