Okay, so today I wanted to dig into the Milwaukee Brewers vs. Phillies game and really check out the player stats. It’s something I’ve been meaning to do for a while, and today was finally the day!

First, I needed to find a good source for the stats. You know, there are tons of sports websites out there, but I wanted something reliable. After searching, I decided that I’d use the data source I’m used to.
Once I got to the site, I looked for the specific Brewers vs. Phillies game. Found it! Then, it was a matter of just browsing through the different player stats.
Diving into the Data
I started by looking at the batting stats. I wanted to see who was hitting well for both teams. It’s always interesting to see who’s on a hot streak.
- Checked out batting averages.
- Looked at home runs and RBIs, those are always fun to compare.
- Noticed a couple of players with a good number of hits.
Then, I switched over to pitching stats. Of course, that is also very important!
- ERAs (Earned Run Average) are key, so I focused on those.
- Checked out strikeouts – always a good indicator of a pitcher’s performance.
- Looked at walks allowed, to see who had good control.
I spent a good chunk of time just going through all of it, player by player. I mean I didn’t note down every single detail, but I got a good overall sense of how everyone performed.
My takeaways.
It looked like a pretty interesting match-up, at least from a stats perspective. I’m kind of a data analysis newbie, but doing this made it a little fun and also helps me understand the game better!
I’ll for sure try to do this more often, maybe even for other teams. It’s a cool way to get deeper into baseball and enjoy those games!
