Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Bronny James kid, ya know, LeBron’s boy. He went to that fancy Sierra Canyon high school out in California. California, that’s where all the movie stars are, ain’t it? Anyways, this boy, he plays basketball, just like his daddy.
Now, I ain’t no basketball expert, mind you. I just watch the games sometimes when there ain’t nothin’ else on the TV. But from what I hear, Bronny’s a guard, stands ’bout 6 foot 4, weighs around 210 pounds. That’s a big boy, I tell ya. He’s strong, like a bull, I reckon.
- He’s a guard.
- Six foot four.
- Two hundred and ten pounds.
Folks keep tryin’ to compare him to his daddy, LeBron. But that ain’t fair, I say. LeBron was somethin’ special in high school, scorin’ all them points and grabbin’ all them rebounds. Bronny, he’s his own person, playin’ his own game. You can’t expect a boy to be just like his daddy, now can ya?
They say Bronny, he wasn’t the best shooter in high school. Somethin’ ’bout him only makin’ around 33 percent of his catch-and-shoot three-pointers. I don’t know what all that means, but it sounds like he coulda done better. One of them NBA fellas, a scout they call ’em, said Bronny’s an “undersized non-shooting guard.” Sounds kinda harsh, don’t it? But them scouts, they gotta say what they see, I guess.
But Bronny, he ain’t just about basketball, ya know. He’s a smart kid too. Went to that Sierra Canyon high school and got good grades, at least a 3.5 GPA they say. That’s honor roll stuff, I tell ya. He even went to college, USC, studied somethin’ called Business Administration. Sounds fancy, huh? Maybe he’ll be a businessman after all this basketball stuff.
After high school, Bronny, he started playin’ in the G League, that’s like the minor leagues for basketball, I think. Played for the South Bay Lakers. His daddy and all them came to watch him play. He scored six points, had some assists and rebounds too. He’s just gettin’ started, ya know. Gotta give him time to grow and learn.
Now, LeBron, when he was in high school, he was somethin’ else. Played for St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron, Ohio. That’s a long way from California, ain’t it? LeBron’s team, they traveled all over the country, playin’ on TV and all that. He averaged over 30 points a game, almost 10 rebounds, and ’bout 4 assists. Those are some mighty impressive numbers, I tell ya. But like I said, Bronny’s Bronny, and LeBron’s LeBron. Two different fellas.
So, that’s the story ’bout Bronny James in high school, as best as I can tell ya. He played ball, went to school, got good grades, and now he’s tryin’ to make it in the pros. It ain’t easy, I reckon, but he’s got the heart and the drive, just like his daddy. We’ll see what happens, won’t we? It’s all gonna depend on how hard he works and how much he wants it. Life’s like that, ya know. You gotta put in the effort to get somethin’ back.
