This David Ortiz, you know, the baseball guy, Big Papi they call him. He got a real fancy house, I tell ya. He used to play for the Boston Red Sox, hit a lot of those home runs, you see. Big shot, that one. Now he’s got this big mansion down in Miami. Heard it’s worth a whole heap of money, like $12.5 million. Can you believe that? $12.5 million for a house!
He built it himself, custom, they say. Probably got all sorts of fancy stuff in there. I bet he has a big ole kitchen, you know, for cooking up all them fancy meals. Probably got a big TV too, for watching them baseball games. And I bet you he’s got a swimming pool out back. You know, them rich folks, they always got them swimming pools.
He used to have a place up in Boston, near where he played ball. But he sold that one, I reckon. Sold it a few years back, after he stopped playing. Said he listed it in 2019. That’s when he put it up for sale. But nobody bought it right away. Took a couple years, I think, ’til 2021, they say. That’s a long time to wait to sell a house, ain’t it? Especially a big fancy one like that. I guess even rich folks gotta wait sometimes.
But this one down in Miami, that’s the real deal. That’s where he’s living now, I reckon. That’s his big David Ortiz home, that one. Big Papi’s house. He’s living the high life now, that fella. Got it made in the shade, as they say.
Now, you might be wondering, “Why is this old lady talking about David Ortiz’s house?” Well, I’ll tell ya. I heard about it on the radio. And then I saw it on one of them TV shows. They were showing all the rooms and everything. It’s a big place, I tell ya. Bigger than anything I ever seen.
It made me think, you know, about how different folks live. Some folks got nothing, and some folks got everything. This Big Papi, he’s got everything. Big house, lots of money. He worked hard for it, though, I reckon. Hitting all them home runs. Playing all them games. He earned it, I guess.
But still, $12.5 million for a home! That’s a lot of money. I could buy a whole lot of things with that kind of money. I could buy a new tractor for my neighbor, a new set of teeth for my cousin, and still have money left over!
- Big Papi’s house is fancy.
- He used to play for the Boston Red Sox.
- His Miami house is worth $12.5 million.
- He sold his Boston house in 2021.
- He is livin’ the dream now!
But that’s just me, I guess. I ain’t never had that kind of money. Don’t need it, really. Got my little house, got my family. That’s all that matters, I reckon. But it is fun to think about, ain’t it? Living in a big mansion like that. Swimming in your own pool. Having all that space. Must be nice.
Anyway, that’s all I know about David Ortiz’s home. Heard it was big, heard it was fancy, heard it was worth a lot of money. And that’s all this old lady’s got to say about that. Just thought I’d share what I heard. You know how it is, news travels fast, even about some baseball player’s big ole house.
That David Ortiz home, though, it sure is something. A real dream house, they call it. I guess for a fella like Big Papi, it’s a dream come true. He worked hard, played hard, and now he’s living large. Good for him, I say. Good for him. Maybe one day I’ll win the lottery and get me a big fancy house too. But until then, I’ll just keep dreaming, I reckon. Just keep dreaming.
I heard tell he got a bunch of rooms in that place. Probably got a room just for his shoes! And another one just for his hats! Can you imagine? A whole room just for hats! And probably got a big old garage for all his cars. I bet he’s got a bunch of fancy cars, too. Them rich folks, they always got fancy cars. Not like my old pickup truck, I tell ya. That thing’s seen better days.
But like I said before, he earned it. All that money, all that fame, he earned it. Worked hard for it. So I can’t begrudge him his big mansion and his fancy cars. He deserves it, I reckon. Still, it’s a lot to take in, ain’t it? $12.5 million dollars! For a house! Whew, that’s a lot of money. But hey, that’s the life of a big-time baseball player, I guess. That’s the life of David Ortiz, Big Papi himself.
