Alright, so, today I wanted to figure out who’s announcing the Chiefs game. I’m a big Chiefs fan, and honestly, the announcers can really make or break the game-watching experience for me. So, here’s how I went about finding out who’s on the call.
Checking the Local Radio
First, I started with the local radio station, since I know they usually broadcast the games. I tuned in to 96.5 The Fan, which is our go-to for Chiefs games here in town. Sure enough, they mentioned that Mitch Holthus, the usual “Voice of the Chiefs,” would be announcing. Along with him, there’s Danan Hughes, a former Chiefs WR, and Josh Klingler on the sidelines. These guys have been doing it for a while, so it’s always nice to hear familiar voices.
Looking Up TV Broadcasts
Next, I wanted to see who was on the TV broadcast. I knew Netflix was supposed to be broadcasting a Chiefs vs. Steelers game, so I checked that out. Turns out, Ian Eagle is going to be doing the play-by-play for that one. He’s pretty well-known, so it should be a good broadcast.
Figuring Out the Referees
I also got a little curious about who the referee would be for a game. I found some info that Shawn Hochuli is going to be the main ref for the Chiefs/Ravens game. It’s always interesting to know who the refs are, even though they’re not exactly “announcers.”
Who’s Announcing Other Games?
Then I stumbled upon some details about the announcers for the Chiefs vs. Saints game. Apparently, Joe Buck was the lead play-by-play announcer for that one. He’s another big name in sports broadcasting.
Checking for the AFC Championship Game
Finally, I wanted to find out who’s calling the big AFC Championship game. I saw some buzz about whether it’ll be the Chiefs or the Ravens going to Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas. It didn’t say specifically who the announcers would be for that one, but it’s a huge game, so I’m sure they’ll have their top team on it.
So, yeah, that’s how I went about finding out who’s announcing the Chiefs games today. It was a bit of a rabbit hole, going from local radio to national TV broadcasts and even looking up referees. But hey, when you’re a fan, you want to know these things, right?
