Alright, folks, let’s dive into the wonderfully wacky world of fantasy football team names! I spent a good chunk of my afternoon brainstorming, and let me tell you, it was a JOURNEY. I wanted something clever, something Bears-centric, and of course, something to make my league-mates chuckle (or groan).
First, I grabbed a pen and paper. Old school, I know, but it helps me think. Then I started jotting down anything Bears-related that popped into my head: players, coaches, stadium, famous moments…you name it. My list was a MESS, full of scribbles and crossed-out words.
Next, I opened up a new browser and started to search with some general stuff like “funny football names” and “Bears puns.” I found a few ideas, not a lot of useful staff.
My Brainstorming Process
- I started with player names. “Caleb’s Crunch Crew”. “Sweaty Odunze”. Get a general idea.
- Mix in some classic Bears references. I tried playing around with “Monsters of the Midway” but it felt a little… overdone.
- I am trying not to get too caught up in being super “insider.” I want a name that even casual fans will get a kick out of.
- I really wanted a name related with “double doink”.But I failed.
After all this, I narrowed it down to a top three. I bounced them off my wife (she’s not even a football fan, bless her heart), and she gave me the “yeah, that’s kinda funny” look for one of them. That’s the best I can hope for, honestly.
So, it’s still in my private. I think I need more time to do * tomorrow I can get some fantanstic ideas!
