Okay, so I’ve been trying to keep up with the Creighton Bluejays, especially with all the injuries lately. It’s been a real rollercoaster, so I figured I’d try to sort it all out and put my notes and my own attempts in a format I can reference and hopefully you might find it helpful.

Digging for Information
First thing I did was hit up Google. I just started searching for “Creighton injury report,” “Creighton basketball injuries,” and stuff like that. I just needed to find a few sites to keep in my back pocket.
I spent a good chunk of time just reading through articles and forums. Trying to find out names, dates, and the kinds of injuries.
Figuring Out Who’s Hurt
After I felt like I had a basic idea of who was injured, I started making a list. Simple as that. Just names, dates, the type of injury (if I could find it), and maybe a note about when they might be back. Something like this:
- Player A: Ankle sprain, injured on [Date], maybe back in 2 weeks?
- Player B: Knee injury, out indefinitely, happened on [Date]… ugh.
- Player C: Shoulder, day-to-day, details are fuzzy…
I made sure to use my own words and not just copy and paste a bunch of stuff. It’s my own notes, after all.
The Hard Part: Keeping it Updated
The big issue, of course, is that this stuff changes all the time. So, I set a reminder on my phone to check for updates every couple of days, especially before game days. My process look something like this:
- Go back to the sites and refresh my search terms.
- Read any new articles/posts.
- Check my notes against the new info.
- Made any changes I found to my notes.
It’s not perfect, but it’s way better than just trying to remember everything. And hey, sometimes you gotta do a little digging yourself, especially with this kind of constantly changing information.
