Alright, listen up, y’all. We gonna talk about this here basketball game, the one with the Dallas fellas and them Golden State Warriors. Don’t know much about them fancy city names, but I know a good game when I see one.
So, this Mavericks versus Warriors thing, it was a real nail-biter, you know? Like watching a pot boil, but way more excitin’. Heard tell they got some real good players, like that Curry fella for the Warriors. Man, can he shoot! He was poppin’ them balls in the hoop like it was nothin’. Scored a whole bunch of points, they said 37. That’s a lot, even for a young fella like him.
- The Warriors, they got this way of playin’, real fast and flashy.
- The Mavericks, they more steady, like a good ol’ truck.
This game, it went back and forth, see? One minute the Mavericks was up, then the Warriors would come sneakin’ back. It was like a teeter-totter, up and down, up and down. They said the Mavericks was up by 11 points at one point, but then them Warriors, they just went on a tear. Started hittin’ shots from everywhere. Before you knew it, the score was close again.
Now, I ain’t gonna bore you with all them numbers and stats, ’cause honestly, I can’t make heads or tails of most of it. But I do know this: both teams got some fellas who can play. For the Mavericks, I heard they got some good shooters too, but that Curry fella, he was somethin’ else. He just kept scorin’ and scorin’. They said he scored the last 12 points for the Warriors. That’s what they call clutch, I reckon.
The game was close, real close. At the half, it was somethin’ like 63 to 59, Mavericks leadin’. But that don’t mean nothin’ in basketball. Game ain’t over ’til the whistle blows, that’s what I always say. And these Warriors, they just kept comin’. They got that championship spirit, you know? They been winnin’ for a while now, so they know how to handle the pressure.
I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout how these two teams, they got a bit of a rivalry goin’ on. Seems like they play each other tough every time. Reminds me of them Hatfield and McCoy fellas, always feudin’. But this ain’t no feudin’, this is just good, hard basketball. And that’s somethin’ I can appreciate.
They also said somethin’ about the Warriors movin’ from Oakland to San Francisco. Guess they wanted a new place to play, maybe a bigger barn or somethin’. Don’t matter much to me, long as they keep playin’ good basketball. That’s all I care about.
So, who won? Well, that ain’t the point, is it? The point is, it was a good game, a close game, and it had folks on the edge of their seats. That’s what makes basketball so fun to watch, even for an old lady like me. You see them fellas runnin’ up and down the court, dribblin’ that ball, shootin’ them hoops. It’s excitin’, plain and simple. And this Mavericks versus Warriors game, it was excitin’ from start to finish.
This here game, folks was bettin’ on it. They said the Warriors was favorites by a couple of points. And that over/under thing, the total points scored, that was somethin’ like 234. Don’t rightly know what all that means, but it sounds important. I just like watching them fellas play ball. It’s a good way to pass the time, you know?
Anyway, that’s about all I got to say about it. The Mavericks and the Warriors, they played a good game. Curry scored a bunch, and the game was close. What more can you ask for? Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talkin’ about basketball has made me hungry.
