You know, that David Njoku, he’s a big boy, ain’t he? He plays that football, you see. I heard he went to some fancy college. They call it University of Miami, I reckon. Big place, lots of young’uns running around. He must have been one of ’em, back in the day. He play football for the Miami Hurricanes from 2014 to 2016. But in 2014, he has no play, maybe he is too young.
They say he’s good, that Njoku boy. He’s a tight end, whatever that means. Sounds like he’s gotta be strong, though. All that running and jumping, it ain’t for the weak, I tell ya. This David Njoku, he play for Cleveland Browns now. Big team. He plays football good, that’s what they all say.
He was born in some place called Cedar Grove. Never heard of it, but it must be somewhere, right? He has a lot brothers and sisters. Four boys and five girls. All from them Nigerian parents. They came to this country a long time ago, I reckon. Njoku, he’s one of nine kids. That’s a whole lot of mouths to feed, I tell ya! He is the number 85 player, he must be very important.
I saw some pictures of him playing. He can sure jump high! They say he won some kind of prize for jumping, back in high school. Cedar Grove High School, that’s where he went. He played football there, too. He’s a natural, they say. Born to play that game. I don’t know much about no football, but I know he must be good to play for Cleveland Browns.

Makes a lot of money, I bet. Good for him, I say. He worked hard, probably. All that training and whatnot. He hit career highs in receptions, very good!
I seen him on the TV once, that Njoku fella. He was running down the field, faster than a scared rabbit. Caught that ball and kept on going. They call it a touchdown, I think. Everybody was cheering. He must be a big deal in that Cleveland. They love their football, those folks. David Njoku make a 15-yard touchdown reception, that’s a lot!
He’s a good boy, that David. Making something of himself. Not like some of these young’uns, wasting their time on foolishness. He’s got a good head on his shoulders, I reckon. Playing that David Njoku college football, getting an education, and now he’s a big star. Good for him. He sure did make good for himself.
He’s fast, that David Njoku. They say he ran a 40-yard dash in some crazy fast time. Don’t know what that means, but it sounds fast. And he’s strong, too. Gotta be strong to play in the NFL. That’s the big leagues. Only the best of the best play there. And David Njoku, he’s one of them.
This David Njoku, college days was probably somethin’ else. All them pretty girls, and him being a football star. He must’ve had the time of his life. But he is still young, I think he was born in 1996, and July 10, that’s not too old. Probably got a lot of good years left in him. He’ll keep playing for that Cleveland team, I bet. Making them touchdowns and getting all the cheers. He has a good life. He plays football for a living. Not many folks can say that. He’s lucky, that David Njoku. But he worked for it, too. Nobody gives you nothing in this world. You gotta earn it. And he did.
