Alright, listen up, y’all. We gotta figure out this football stuff, this Deshaun Watson and Dak Prescott thing. Folks keep jabberin’ about it, so let’s get it straight.
Dak Prescott, that Dallas fella. Now, he played all them 17 games last year. That’s somethin’, right? Folks say he got a whole heap of points, third best they say. And he threw the ball a country mile, 4,516 yards or somethin’. That’s a lot, even for my old eyes. And get this, 36 touchdowns! More than any other quarterback, they tell me. He threw the ball good too, hit his fellas more often than not. Folks who know about this stuff, they say he was better than the year before. So that sounds pretty good, right?
But then there’s this Watson fella. Deshaun Watson, they call him. He ain’t doin’ so hot, from what I hear. People were hopin’ he’d be a real star, but he’s been kinda… stuck in the mud, you know? They say he ain’t throwin’ the ball so good, missin’ his guys a lot. And he ain’t runnin’ it in much either, only two touchdowns on the ground. That ain’t gonna cut it, no sir.
So, you got one fella, Dak, doin’ real good, throwin’ the ball all over the place and scorin’ touchdowns. And then you got Watson, kinda stumblin’ around, not doin’ what folks expected. Seems simple enough to me.
- Dak played all the games, Watson, I ain’t so sure.
- Dak threw for a ton of yards and touchdowns, Watson, not so much.
- Dak, they say he’s gettin’ better, Watson, well, he’s just kinda… there.
Now, I hear some folks talkin’ about this “fantasy football.” Sounds like a made-up game to me, but they get all worked up about it. They wanna know who to pick, Dak or Watson. Well, seems to me, if you wanna win, you go with the fella who’s playin’ good, right? That’d be Dak, from what I can tell.
But here’s the thing, sometimes things change. Maybe Watson will get his act together, start throwin’ better, runnin’ faster. Maybe Dak will get hurt, or somethin’. That’s football, I guess. You never really know what’s gonna happen.
But if you’re askin’ me right now, who’s the better pick? Who should you start in your, uh, fantasy game? Well, it seems plain as day to me. You go with Dak. He’s the one who’s been doin’ the job, throwin’ the ball, scorin’ the points. Watson, he’s gotta prove himself, show folks he can still play. Until then, Dak’s your man. That’s what I think, anyway. Don’t come cryin’ to me if I’m wrong, though. It’s just a game, after all. Go get yourself a sweet tea and relax.
And another thing, they talk about “PPR projections” and “expert advice.” Sounds like a bunch of city slicker talk to me. Just watch the game, see who’s playin’ good. That’s all you need to know. And make sure them fellas stay healthy, that’s important too. Injuries, they can mess up everything.
So there you have it, my two cents on this whole Dak and Watson thing. Take it or leave it, I don’t care much. Just tryin’ to make some sense of it all, like everyone else. Now, where’s that sweet tea? And somebody turn on the TV, I wanna see if them boys are playin’ today.
