Okay, so today I messed around with something called “edwin lewis.” First off, I was trying to get some stuff done on my computer, a Windows Vista 32-bit laptop. I had this messed up file, “*,” that was totally screwing with one of my programs. I tried to delete it and replace it with a good version, but that was a whole other headache.
Then I started messing around with URLs. I was just typing stuff into my Firefox search bar, and I noticed that some characters like “?” were getting all jumbled up, like, they turned into “%253F.” Apparently, that’s something called “encoding” and it’s supposed to make the URL work better, but honestly, it just looked weird to me. I did some digging and found out that there’s some way to make sure the characters are encoded right when using something called “HttpClient,” but that’s way above my pay grade.
After that, I decided to do some browsing and stumbled on this site called W3Schools. It’s got all these free tutorials and stuff for coding in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a bunch of other things. It was pretty cool, but it got a bit overwhelming, so I moved on.
Bing Chat Enterprise
- I then tried to figure out how to turn off this “Discover” thing in my Microsoft Edge browser on my Windows 11 computer. That was a whole rabbit hole in itself, and I still haven’t figured it out completely.
- I joined this online thing about AI, something called “Copilot,” which used to be called “Bing Chat Enterprise.” They were talking about how to use AI in companies and how it can make things more secure and easier to manage. It sounded interesting, but also kind of scary.
Next, I found this site that’s supposed to be like a giant library of scientific knowledge. It said it had, like, 160 million pages, 25 million researchers, and a million questions. I don’t know about all that, but it seemed like a place where smart people hang out.
Later, I tried to use the new Bing to get answers to some questions. It’s supposed to be able to summarize stuff, write drafts, and even make images. It was kind of fun to play with, but I’m not sure how useful it really is.
Oh, and then I got some weird “500” error from the GitHub server when I was trying to do something there. It probably meant something was messed up on their end, but who knows? I just gave up after that.
So yeah, that was my day messing around with “edwin lewis.” It was a mix of trying to fix my computer, learning some stuff, and getting confused by a bunch of other stuff. Not the most productive day, but hey, at least I learned something, I guess?
