Well, let me tell ya ’bout this fella, Dylan Edwards. Seems like he’s a big deal in that football stuff, you know, the kind where they run around and smash into each other. Folks keep talkin’ ’bout him, so I figured I’d piece together what I heard.
This Dylan kid, he plays for them Panthers. Don’t know what kinda panthers, real ones or just a name, but they gave him a special shirt ’cause he played 150 games. That’s a whole lotta games, ain’t it? Must be good at knockin’ folks down or runnin’ real fast, or maybe both. They even said he’s the fastest fella in some competition, runnin’ faster than a scared rabbit, I reckon. Forty yards in 4.41 seconds, they say. That’s quick, real quick.
- Born in Kansas, Derby to be exact. That’s out in them flatlands, I hear.
- His folks are Leon and Raisha. Good folks, I bet, raisin’ a boy to be strong and fast.
- Went to school, played lots of football. Scored a bunch, they say. Runnin’ all over the place, hard to catch.
He’s a “productive back,” they call him. Means he’s good at carryin’ that ball, I guess. “Dangerous in multiple phases,” they say. Sounds like he can do more than just run, maybe he can throw that ball too? And they say he can score from “anywhere on the field.” That means he’s slippery, like a greased pig, hard to get a hold of.
This boy’s got speed, real speed. “Excellent acceleration” and “good top-end speed.” That’s what them experts say. Means he starts fast and stays fast. Like a rocket, I guess, though I ain’t never seen no rocket up close.
Now, they talk about him winnin’ some “Pacific Cup.” That sounds fancy. And somethin’ called “State of Origin.” Guess that’s important too. They say if he wins this Cup, it’ll be the best year of his whole career. Well, good for him, I say. Workin’ hard and winnin’ things, that’s the way to do it.
Seems like he was playin’ for Colorado, but now he’s movin’ on, “enterin’ the transfer portal” they call it. Sounds like changin’ teams to me. Guess he’s lookin’ for somethin’ new, maybe more money, maybe a better chance to win even more. Folks do that, you know, always lookin’ for somethin’ better.
So, that’s the story of Dylan Edwards, as best as I can tell ya. A fast fella, good at football, movin’ around tryin’ to make a name for himself. He’s a young ‘un, born in ’04, so he’s got plenty of time to run and smash and win more of them Cups and such. I reckon we’ll be hearin’ more about him in the years to come.
He sounds like a good boy, though, workin’ hard and doin’ his best. That’s what matters, ain’t it? Workin’ hard, bein’ good to folks, and maybe runnin’ real fast while you’re at it.
