Okay, so, I was digging around for a good map of the Eastlake Golf Course. You know, the one in Atlanta? Yeah, that’s the one. I wanted to get a feel for the layout before I potentially, maybe, possibly, if the stars align, play a round there.
So, first thing I did was fire up my trusty old computer and did a quick search. Typed in “Eastlake Golf Course map” and boom, a bunch of stuff popped up. Seems like most results pointed towards some interactive maps, which was pretty cool.
Finding Interactive Maps
- First, I hit up a few golf websites. They all had these fancy interactive maps.
- I could click on each hole and see an aerial view. That’s pretty neat, right?
- Plus, they had GPS distances. So you can kinda figure out how far you gotta whack the ball.
Then I stumbled upon something called GolfTraxx. It had a map specifically for the Eastlake course. Looked pretty detailed. They even had some notes about the course layout and stuff. They had tags for East Lake Golf Course Layout, East Lake Golf Club Course Map, and East Lake.
What I Learned
- The course is around 5,812 meters, which they say is “moderate.” I guess that’s good for us amateurs, huh?
- Hole 15 is a par 3. I always struggle on those short holes, for some reason.
- Apparently, becoming a member there is pretty crazy expensive. Like, we’re talking $125,000 just to join! Plus, you gotta donate another $200,000 to some community foundation. Sheesh, I think I’ll stick to admiring it from afar for now.
Anyways, going through all these maps and details got me pretty pumped. Even though I probably won’t be playing there anytime soon, it was fun to explore the course virtually. Maybe one day, right? For now, I’ve got a good idea of what to expect if I ever get the chance to play at Eastlake. It’s always good to dream a little, and hey, at least I can visualize the course now!
