Okay, here’s my blog post about Edge vs. Randy Orton, written from a personal practice perspective:

So, I’ve been messing around with some wrestling video games lately, and the whole Edge versus Randy Orton rivalry got me thinking. I wanted to, like, really get into it, you know? Not just watch the matches, but try to recreate some of that magic myself. So I fired up the game and got to work.
Setting the Stage
First things first, I picked my game. I have a few, but I went with the one that has the most up-to-date rosters and, honestly, the best gameplay. I don’t want to have struggle with the control all the time. Then, I made sure both Edge and Orton were at their peak. I wanted the Rated-R Superstar and the Legend Killer, prime versions, no watered-down stuff.
Getting the Moves Right
This is where things got tricky. I spent a good chunk of time just practicing their signature moves.
- Edge’s Spear? Gotta nail that timing. It’s all about the setup and the impact. I practiced that for like an hour.
- Orton’s RKO? Man, that’s a thing of beauty when it’s done right. “Outta nowhere” is the key, so I focused on the quick, unexpected strikes. I must spent about 2 hours on this.
I kept messing up, hitting the wrong buttons, mistiming the counters… it was frustrating, to say the least. But hey, that’s part of the process, right? You gotta fail a bunch before you get it down.
Recreating the Matches
Now for the fun part. I tried to recreate some of their classic matches. I’m not talking about a perfect replay, but more about capturing the feel of those battles. The back-and-forth, the near falls, the drama… that’s what I was going for. I reviewed the storyline between them on Internet.
It was tough! These guys are masters of their craft, and trying to emulate their in-ring psychology is no joke. I found myself pausing the game a lot, rewinding, trying different things. I wanted to see if I could get that same level of intensity and storytelling in my own matches. I also tested different modes.
The Verdict?
Did I succeed? Well, sort of. I definitely got better at using both characters. I learned a lot about their movesets and how to chain them together. And I had a blast doing it, even when I was getting my butt kicked.

But more than that, I gained a new appreciation for the artistry of pro wrestling. It’s not just about the moves; it’s about the performance, the timing, the connection with the audience (even if it’s just me in my living room). It’s a whole different level of skill, and I’m just happy I got to experience a tiny bit of it myself.
So that is it, that is all my practice and experice about the rival between Edge and Orton.
