Alright, let’s talk about these football fellas, Keenan Allen and Chris Olave. Folks keep jabberin’ on about who’s better, especially for that fantasy football stuff. You know, the one where you pick players and hope they do good? Yeah, that one.
Now, I ain’t no expert, mind you. I just watch the games when I got nothin’ better to do, like when the cows are milked and the chickens are fed. But I hear things, you know? People talkin’ at the store, on the TV, everywhere.
Keenan Allen, they say he’s been around a while. A real veteran, like that old tractor Pa used to have. Reliable, gets the job done, but maybe not as flashy as some of them young whippersnappers. They say he’s a “Pro Bowl” fella, which I guess means he’s pretty darn good. But he’s gettin’ on in years, like me, so maybe he ain’t as spry as he used to be.
- He’s been playin’ a long time.
- Folks say he’s a “Pro Bowl” player.
- Might be gettin’ a bit old.
Then there’s this Chris Olave fella. He’s newer, like a fresh batch of biscuits. Folks get all excited about him. He’s fast, they say. Runs like a scalded dog, I reckon. But he had some troubles this year, somethin’ about his head. Concussion, they called it. Sounds scary to me. Knocked him out of a few games, I hear.
Now, when they talk about this fantasy football, they say you gotta decide who to “start” each week. That means pickin’ the fella you think is gonna do the best. And that’s where it gets tricky.
Some weeks, Allen might be the better choice. He’s steady, you know? Like that old tractor. You can count on him to get you some points. Other weeks, Olave might be the one to go with, especially if he’s healthy and runnin’ fast. But that head thing, that worries me.
They got these “experts,” you know. Folks who spend all their time lookin’ at numbers and stats and such. They make these “projections,” which is just a fancy word for guessin’, I think. They try to tell you who’s gonna score more points. But even them experts, they don’t always get it right. Shoot, nobody does. That’s why it’s called gamblin’, ain’t it?
They also talk about “draftin’” players. That’s when you pick your team at the start of the season. Some folks say you should take Allen later in the draft, ‘cause he’s older. But Olave, if he’s healthy, might go earlier. It’s all a big guessing game, far as I can tell.
One thing they keep sayin’ is to make sure both fellas are “active and healthy.” That means they ain’t hurt and they’re gonna play. Seems like common sense to me, but I guess some folks need to be reminded. If a fella’s sittin’ on the bench, he ain’t gonna score you no points, that’s for sure.
So, who’s better? Keenan Allen or Chris Olave? Well, it depends. If you want steady and reliable, maybe go with Allen. If you want someone with more potential, but also more risk, maybe Olave is your guy. But remember that head thing, it’s important to keep Olave’s health in mind. And always check to make sure they’re gonna play! Just like you wouldn’t bet on a horse with a bad leg, don’t pick a player if he ain’t healthy.
At the end of the day, it’s your choice. Just like pickin’ which tomatoes to plant in the garden, you gotta go with your gut. And hope for the best. That’s all any of us can do, ain’t it? Whether it’s football or farmin’, you do your best and hope for a good harvest.
