Okay, so today I wanted to figure out if Deon Jackson is actually worth picking up for my fantasy team. I’ve been hearing some buzz about him, so I figured, why not dive in and see for myself?
The Initial Research
First things first, I gotta do some digging. I opened up my usual fantasy football sites to check out his recent stats. You know, just to get a basic feel for how he’s been performing lately. I looked at his game logs, his rushing yards, touchdowns – the whole nine yards.
Checking the Team Situation
Then, I needed to figure out his team context. Is he even getting playing time? Who’s he competing with? I started checking news and reports about the Colts. I wanted to know if Jonathan Taylor was still out, how the offensive line was looking, all that good stuff. It’s all about opportunity, right?
Analyzing the Matchup
Next up, I had to look at who the Colts were playing this week. Are they facing a tough run defense? Or is it a juicy matchup where Jackson could potentially go off? I started looking at defensive rankings, points allowed to running backs, all that kind of stuff. Matchups can make or break a player’s week!
Comparing to Other Options
Then I did what any of us would when you are not sure: comparision. I checked to see who else was available on the waiver wire. I compared their stats, their matchups, their team situations. Basically, I wanted to see if Jackson was actually the best option out there, or if there was someone else I should be targeting.
Making the Decision
After all that, it’s decision time. Weighing all the pros and cons, the potential upside, the risk… I finally made my pick. This week, I decided to …..(Drum roll please…haha) Add him! Let’s just say, his matchup looks way too good to pass up. Crossing fingers he is the best decision, and brings the points.
