Okay, so today I decided to watch the Galatasaray vs Beşiktaş match. I’m not a huge follower of the Turkish league, but I’d heard this was a big rivalry, a real derby, so I figured, why not?

First things first, I had to find a way to watch it.I’m not gonna lie, I went down a bit of a rabbit hole trying to find it.
I finally found it! Made a cup of coffee, got some snacks, and settled in on the couch. Perfect setup.
The match itself was… intense. Lots of energy from both sides. The crowd noise was crazy, even through the broadcast. I could practically feel the tension in the stadium.
Early Goal!
Galatasaray scored pretty early, which definitely set the * was a great play to open the game, really high quality. The build up was pretty cool.
- Galatasaray supporters celebrated.
- Beşiktaş supporters get mad.
I have to admit, some of the tackles were… robust. Let’s just say the referee had his work cut out for him. A few yellow cards were shown, and honestly, there could have been a couple more.
Beşiktaş fought back though,I mean, they didn’t do that well but,you know, had a few close calls, missed a few easy, and they got pretty close to scoring a couple of times. It definitely wasn’t a one-sided game, even if the final score didn’t show it.
In the end, Galatasaray managed to hold on and win. They really dominated for most of the match, and I think, deserved the victory.
Overall, it was a fun experience! Not sure I’ll become a die-hard fan of either team, but it was definitely an entertaining way to spend a couple of * now, I can at least say I’ve watched a Turkish Super Lig derby!
