Okay, so I was trying to figure out who was going to be playing where for the Hokies this football season. I needed the “hokies football depth chart”. You know, who’s starting, who’s backing up, all that good stuff. It’s always a bit of a puzzle before the season really kicks off.
First, I just did a simple search. Typed it right in, and boom, tons of stuff came up. News articles, fan forums, the whole nine yards.
I started clicking around on some of the bigger sports sites. They usually have pretty good info. I saw some articles talking about the depth chart, like who might be competing for spots, but nothing concrete.
Digging Deeper
Then, I went over to the official Hokies sports site. Figured that would be the best place, right? I poked around the football section, looking at the roster, the schedule, all that. Still no actual depth chart laid out nice and easy.
I even tried some fan forums. You know, those places where people are really into the team. Sometimes they have inside info, or at least they’ve put together their own best guesses. I found some discussions, some predictions, but again, nothing official.
Getting Crafty
At this point, I was starting to piece things together myself. I was reading all those articles about position battles, looking at player stats from last year, and basically trying to be a detective.
- Quarterback: I saw a lot of talk about Grant Wells, but also Kyron Drones.
- Running Back: Bhayshul Tuten seemed like a lock.
- Wide Receiver: Names that popped up were Ali Jennings, Da’Quan Felton, and Jaylin Lane.
Finally, I decided I’d have to wait. Most of the articles said the official depth chart probably wouldn’t be released until right before the first game. Guess the coaches like to keep everyone guessing!
So I created my own, and waited for it to be updated.
It’s a bit frustrating, but hey, that’s part of the fun of being a fan, right? The anticipation, the speculation. Now I’m just counting down the days until the season starts and we finally see who’s taking the field!
